deja vu anyone

I have to agree - it''d be easy to blame the defeat on
bad luck but we looked second best in all departments.
''Both the centre halves look way past it (Malky looked
embarrasing slow), the midfield seemed incapable of
stringing two passes together and simply isn''t hungry
enough for the 50-50''s, (why is it every side seems to
stroll up to our penalty box without any challenge?) and
the strikers are painfully predictable. Finally, our
ball retention was appalling.

Bottom line is that although the nucleus is there we
are deficient in too many areas to challenge right at the top of this
league.

posted two years ago, but could almost be relevant now.
on the one hand you could say worthy proved the doubters
wrong two years ago, on the other hand the doubters could
claim same old issues not addressed two years on.

I''m happier with this team than I was then, lets hope
the tactical problems can be recognized and rectified soon though.

It''s kind of spooky how you can use a review of a match from 2 years ago and it still has relevance to this seasons efforts so far. I don''t believe I''m a moaner and always support to team, manager blah blah, but you have to say that at this moment in time... WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

i agree with you rasputin, it''s very much a case of being back
to square one again, at least in terms of position.

Indeed, you''re both right. The real worry is that 2 years ago we relied on the miraculous signing of Huckerby and his magnificent display, but can we get to perform a similiar miracle this time round? I see Darren Anderton has gone to Wolves - he could have been the answer this year....

I know this report is from a very sore game for us City fans but I think you''ll find the quote rings true. And what makes it worse is that this was over 3 years ago yet some of the problems are still very much evident in Norwich City matches right now."All that kept Norwich in the match was their prodigious work rate and the fact that Bent and Ambrose were misfiring. Ambrose was particularly guilty in the 15th minute, blasting wildly high from close range, and the same player headed Bent''s cross wide when unmarked soon afterwards. With Iwan Roberts the bluntest of instruments up front and no one capable of putting his foot on the ball in midfield, Norwich were reduced to the occasional pot shot from distance."
