It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted August 13, 2014 In answer to one comment, I have never felt for a micro-second that Hughton would have saved us last season, if he''d been kept on. The performance and results before the WBA game had got to the stage where I think he''d have lost all the remaining games by a bigger margin. The problem last year was a mixture of tactics, player management and the fact that Holt was released and Hughton''s system needed a player who could play that role, but he spent record amounts on players who didn''t work with the system he was using. This year, being in the Championship makes it possible to play different systems with more chance of success, and Lafferty looks like he could play the Holt-type role. So at the moment I''m reserving judgement, not in the sky is falling and sack Adams now camp, but still being worried about how the season will pan out.
