Buh 0 Posted August 17, 2014 The Leroy Fer chantSo it rings out from the Barclay and Snakepit"He scored in Brazil! He Scored in Braziiiiillll!!""Leroy Feeeerrrrrrrrrr" (Pronounced "Fur"...)"He scored in Brazil!"How long has he played for us? And still a huge Fuuurrrrr chant rang out. What was funnier was the fans seemed conscious of the fact they had just messed up and when the second chant rang out"He scored in Brazil! He Scored in Braziiiiillll!!""durrd dururd durururrrr" (like when you are singing happy birthday and don''t know the persons name when you get to the name verse)"He scored in Brazil!" Unhinged Canary 375 Posted August 17, 2014 No-one complained about it on Canary Call, so I can''t possibly comment, though it was Neyuls fault....
Holtcantshoot 0 Posted August 17, 2014
He didnt give us a dance though when he was warming up!
Nah I saw that. He just like totally blanked the Snakepit. Reckon that''s why the clubs selling him. He dissed our fans man.
Horse Renoir 1 Posted August 17, 2014 It''s been a while since there''s been a light hearted, cheerful atmosphere at CR which was welcome. We''ve always been desperately fighting to stay up or embroiled in a promotion challenge since 2007 giving the place a constant nervous tension.Even though Watford gave up and we took our foot off after the third went in that was a very enjoyable half an hour. Everyone happy, mistakes forgiven and taken in jest and finally imposing ourselves and giving an inferior team a massive humping again felt great!
Katie Borkins 1 Posted August 17, 2014 It was notable that many of the fans had to clear their throats when "Leroy Ferrrrrr" was sung.Something like a Fer Cough.
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,017 Posted August 18, 2014 Fer did not "totally blank" the Snakepit, when the "he scored in Brazil" chant started Leroy turned round with a huge grin on his face.........

crabbycanary 2 Posted August 18, 2014 There were two other funny moments.Secondly (first) when we were 3-0 up and Gomes went to fetch a ball for a goal kick, a little kid shouted ''Gomes, what''s the score''? and Gomes just looked at this kid , gave a resigned shrug, smiled, and said something. He was so much more politer than Kelvin Davis was a few seasons ago, when he got face to face with a ball boy, trying to rip the ball back. The first incident was during the warm up , and our Goalkeeping Coach was pinging in crosses for John Ruddy, and he had a right go at the Ref and his two linos for keep getting in the way, whilst they were warming up. They got face to face, and Tony said he was going to report the Ref. That was so funny, if not just for the fact that a man of senior years was wearing football kit

Jim Smith 2,314 Posted August 18, 2014 I noticed it. The weird thing is Fer said in a Norfolk accent is blatantly "fair" but the whole ground sang it as "Fur" which did sound strange. On a similar note I also don''t understand why for the Garrido song most people insist on singing "he likes paella and now he''s a yellow" when it surely should be " yella."
