Jacks Back 0 Posted August 19, 2014 Just been on Sky Sports saying ''He''ll be a great signing for us'' and saying what he''ll bring to his team etc etc. But Adams said the reports of him going off to London for a medical today were nonsense? Was Adams just living in denial, or did this seriously only start up since after the Watford game?

You really can''t post anything on here without someone trying to turn it into a petty little b*tch fight. You''re like a bunch of 14 year old girls
mrs miggins 0 Posted August 19, 2014 I think jack, what he said was about him not having a medical on monday. Like adams said; things change quickly. And buh, chill out a bit mate :)
Jim Smith 2,314 Posted August 19, 2014 He said he had been training yesterday and so there was nothing in the reports of Fer having a medical yesterday. That is technically correct if the medical is this morning as is being reported.
YellowNets1901 0 Posted August 19, 2014 £10m. Good business.
Buh 0 Posted August 19, 2014 I''m perfectly chilled, and right.People are pouring over everything that Adams says to use it as a stick to beat him with.People have agendas and they need them to come to fruition.

Branston Pickle 3,632 Posted August 19, 2014 Adams is a football manager, not some sort of prophet: I''m sure he will say stuff that isn''t 100% spot on at times - people should realise that football is a £multi-million business and we will not be given chapter and verse on everything that is going on. Harry, meanwhile always loves to bring things out in public - did he not say similar stuff about Hooper just before he signed for us. It does seem that Fer is probably off, but not just because Harry says so.
Jacks Back 0 Posted August 19, 2014
£10m. Good business.
That''s an incredibly good price if true. I was never complaining about the decision to sell Fer. It looks like we''re perfectly equipped to cope without him
mrs miggins 0 Posted August 19, 2014 basically everywhere (except radio norfolk - who would''ve thunk it) reporting the price is £7m

Jim Smith 2,314 Posted August 19, 2014 Perhaps the most unsatisfactory part of this whole deal for me is that we lose a potentially decent player to that horrible little club and the likes of Redknapp and the Fernandes. very sad,As for the fee interesting the words used in the info the club has clearly fed to Radio Norfolk are "worth up to £10m." The suggestion seems to be that we have saved ourselves/avoided a sell-on fee of around £2m. Would be interesting to understand how that works. Fact that all other sources are saying £7m suggests that there are various add-ons involved plus possibly this "sell-on fee" element.

mrs miggins 0 Posted August 19, 2014 can people stop being so hostile to each other. I can understand it in a thread where there''s a proper discussion to be had where there''s going to be different points of view, but not in a thread that discusses something that will happen. Absent Friend 0 Posted August 19, 2014 QPR and Harry have been publicly pursuing Fer for weeks. Nobody else seems to be interested, not at the price we are asking anyway. If people aren''t falling over themselves to join the queue at £7m then he isn''t worth £10m is he? Although Fer has said nothing publicly about wanting to go it''s obvious that if he can get back into the Premiership and recover some or all of his pay cut he will; can''t blame him frankly. And given that Gus Hiddink is unlikely to be scouting Championship matches he needs to be there to try to keep his international place. But if at the time of yesterday''s press conference no deal had been agreed or medical arranged then of course he''d be training with, and still part of, the squad. If things have moved on since, so be it. Nobody''s undermined Adams, Adams hasn''t misled anybody. Most important thing is to move on to reinvest funds in players who can do well for us at the top end of the Championship. Beating Blackburn tonight, ending their long unbeaten run, would be the best way to persuade any targets we have that we''re the team to join.
Branston Pickle 3,632 Posted August 19, 2014 The thing is that 3 or so weeks ago the Evening Standard seemed to think QPR were getting him for £4.8m. That was clearly a load of baloney but they have always been after him. We can surely be certain that if he is sold it will be for as big a price as we can get, McNally is not stupid and has done this before. You can rest assured that Harry/QPR will feed a low figure to the media but we''ll feed the higher one: what is odd is that £8m was the ''accepted'' figure on Sat but BBC now say £7m, which is probably lower than the real figure

Pink Un quoting a deal which could be worth £10m. So perhaps somewhere in the middle. We would have got even more if we''d held out for 31st so suspect that we will need the time to bring in others. What is clear is that Adams didn''t want him to go and obviously is not in control of who is and who isn''t going, despite his claims to have had a chat with everyone.Fact is though that even without Snodgrass, RVW and Fer we easily have a good enough squad to walk this league.
