To my mind, the fight back last night, the never say die attitude, going all-out for a win, coupled with a couple of late goals is refreshingly familiar. Surely, it''s no coincidence that Adams and Holt both worked under Lambert.

It also suggests that the period where we started to take control in the Wolves game, where we started to press, create chances and put them under pressure, wasn''t a fluke... which leaves you wondering what might have been if it wasn''t for the sending off. Top of the league perhaps.

Obviously, it''s entirely academic (seeing as we lost!) but overall it''s been an impressive start for our so called ''puppet manager''.

And for anyone judging Adams on the last 5 games of last season, Alex Ferguson wouldn''t have faired much better.

I just hope the Board now back Adams and give him the financial clout to get on with the job.

It is pleasing to have a manager again who is prepared to change things during games and not wait until the last 10 minutes to replace forwards with defenders and hang on for a point.
