Butterbean_Canary 0 Posted June 16, 2014 Who do you think will play the most next season from the youth players? My money is on Josh Murphy as I fear we may not see Snodgrass play at Carrow road this season.Do you feel we will see a big injection of the youth players?Rudd?Toffolo?McGeehan?Jacob Murphy?Jamar Loza? (I really hope he gets 10 goals)Gafaiti?
Salopian 1 Posted June 16, 2014 It''s a very big step-up from U21 to the Championship, but I hope that Adams will start the process by bench appearances, and perhqaps last 10 minutes for some of the others. Josh seems to be on the very verge of a regular place, with no real challengers on the left, if Pilks goes.Neither Benno nor Redders look very convincing on the left.I would not regard the departure of Snodgrass as a great loss, at a reasonable price, given the wealth of wide players with pace which we have. I also think that with Benno and Redders both very quick and in contention for a natural right wing place, we could have dangerous wingers next season. If Ruddy stops, I doubt if we need both Rudd and Bunn. I would prefer the former, with his extra height and ability to cut out crosses. Of the others, Loza did himself no harm when he played at the end of last season, and he looks the most likely to get a (substitute) appearance. It is possible, too, that Callum Morris could have an appearance, but Loza has a slight edge. It will be interesting to see how much progress McGeehan has made at Luton.I am less sure about Toffolo, Jacob and Gefaiti. Unless they make some rapid progress, I can''t see them being picked very often.
Butterbean_Canary 0 Posted June 16, 2014 It makes me wonder how much faith Adams has in players like toffolo and Gefaiti. If Olson was to leave would toffolo be seen as a good back up to Garrido?I wonder how many centre backs Adams is looking at getting in? Will Gafaiti be used as one of the four centre backs?I agree that at the right price snodgrass would not be a major dent with the players in our squad but I can''t help but think he would rip teams apart on his own in the championship. mrs miggins 0 Posted June 16, 2014 I reckon we should keep Josh Murphy but loan out the rest to league 2, the need competitive games every week
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted June 16, 2014 It''d be nice if we had some games this season where we''re say two goals to the good with half an hour left and well in control. Then we can blood the youngsters without too much risk. From there, if they are any good, they graduate to the odd start. As is pointed out, it''s a massive step up though. star_manic 0 Posted June 16, 2014 Was it a massive step up for Cesc Fabregas, Wayne Rooney, Raheem Sterling? Basically the old adage "if you''re good enough you''re old enough" is true. And we are now going to be playing at a lower level.

They''re not necessarily good enough just because they are the best amongst their small pool of peers. They have to actually be better than the guys they are seeking to displace. It''s a good opportunity for some of them to prove whether they are, though...hopefully.
