Staying or going simple yes or no

Recommended Posts

Simple question, if they leave on loan it counts. I want verdicts on who will stay and who will go (this window, not January) from the following (my predictions there):

Hooper - Stay

RvW - Stay

Fer - Stay

Bassong - Go

Snodgrass - Go

Redmond - Stay

Pilkington - Go

Hoolahan - Stay

Olsson - Stay

Becchio - Go

Tettey - Stay

Ruddy - Stay

Other main players to stay

Fer - Stay
Redmond - Stay
Olsson - Stay

Can you really see all 5 of them staying after only 1 season and relegation?

Agree almost entirely with the OP. My slight reservation concerns LB.

We never had a chance to see the best of poor old Luciano and I would not enjoy seeing a championship rival benefitting from the player''s clear goal-getting talents, especially at our expense.

I would be happy for our whole existing strike force to remain tbh and for it to just be bolstered by two new signings and Loza. We have one already now and this Lafferty rumour seems to be strong.

Let''s be extravagant with the strike force after the frugal Hughton years. We can afford it for a season and a wealth of strikers, with one or two for all occasions, could well carve up those stodgy Championship defences [;)] and would serve us well for the longer season ahead.

On a wider note, if we were able to pick up getting towards £10m from the combined sales of Snodgrass, Bassong, Pilkington, Becchio and Surman ( Bournemouth wanted him) then that would furnish decent outlays for a new centre-back and another attacking mid-fielder.

Assuming we lose none of the remaining players I wold see us well set up for the season ahead.

There will be a lot of action in the market from this point onwards and the big questions will be:

1. Will Snodgrass and Olsson be sold to the lower PL as rumours suggest. Ditto: Hooper?

2. Will Fer and Wolfie be content to hang around for another season? Ditto: Tettey?

3. What will become of the two apparent malcontents Hoolahan and Pilkington?

4. Is everybody correct in assuming that Sebastian Bassong will be on his bike?

Anyhow Nayull  that''s your immediate issues suitably summed up in a nutshell, so over to you now  (and that nice Mr. McNally.)
