How do people feel about this? I realise its becoming more the standard to include loyalty bonuses in contracts, but when did it become necessary to incentivise loyalty? Is this just a symptom of our mercenary footballing culture, or should players be rewarded even more than their basic salaries, simply for not agitating for a move away? So to see a "loyalty bonus" in a professional footballers contract in probably the least loyal profession is actually amusing......a loyalty bonus, a sell on percentage and a release clause.....bizaar really.
