lappinitup 629 Posted July 14, 2014 NORWICH City are pleased to announce that Gregg Broughton has been appointed as the Club’s Academy Manager.Broughton, who joined the Canaries in 2012 as the Academy''s Head of Recruitment, steps up to the role after Ricky Martin was named Technical Director.Jerry Gill, previously Professional Development Coach, assumes the role of Professional Development Phase Lead Coach, taking over responsibility of the Club’s Under-18s from Neil Adams.Gill will be assisted by Dmitri Halajko, who rejoins the Club as Professional Development Coach after a short spell with the FA, while Graeme Murty moves from Southampton as Youth Development Phase Lead Coach, taking control of City’s Under-16s.Chief Executive David McNally said: “We’re delighted to confirm the promotion of Gregg Broughton to lead our Academy through the next exciting and critical phase in its development.“Gregg will be ably assisted by Jerry Gill, Dmitri Halajko and Graeme Murty in their key roles and everyone at the Club looks forward to working hard with them to ensure the Academy builds on the major strides it has taken in recent years.”Broughton held the position of Academy Manager during a six-year spell at Luton Town prior to linking up with the Canaries and is looking forward to the challenge.“I feel incredibly privileged to be given the opportunity,” he said.“We want to continue with the progress that has been made, and to keep moving forward. I don’t think changes are needed, I just think we need to keep progressing.“We have a group of boys on the fringes of the first team now, but we have to ensure that isn’t a one-off and that we have a consistent group coming through over the next five to ten years. That’s the only thing that matters and that’s ultimately what the Academy and I will be judged on.”Former Birmingham City full-back Gill, who moved the Club last summer and took the temporary charge of the Under-21s towards the end of the season, is delighted to take over the reins of the Canaries’ Under-18s on a permanent basis.“It’s something I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into,” he said.“I thoroughly enjoyed my spell with the Under-21s and having the responsibility of running the team, and that’s what I’m going to have in my new role with the Under-18s.“I’m excited to be working with the group, developing myself with them too and moving along. I’m really thankful that I’ve been given this opportunity by the club.”The Club will make an announcement on Mark Robson’s replacement as Senior Professional Development Coach in due course.2014-15 Norwich City Academy StaffAcademy Manager – Gregg BroughtonHead of Coaching - Paul NevinSenior Professional Development Coach - TBCProfessional Development Phase Lead Coach – Jerry GillProfessional Development Coach – Dmitri HalajkoYouth Development Phase (15-16) Lead Coach – Graeme MurtyYouth Development Phase (13-14) Lead Coach & Support Staff for Education – Jimmy UnwinFoundation Phase Lead Coach (9-12) - Matthew WrightLead Goalkeeping Coach – TBCOperations Manager & Foundation (11-12) Coach – Ali ColmanOperations - James BemmentAdministrator - Lesley WilliamsHead of Education – TBCHead of Recruitment – TBCYouth Development Officer - Colin WattsLocal Recruitment Officer – Scott SmithIntern – Sam GisborneHead of Sports Science and Medicine - Ross HollinworthLead Sports Scientist - Andrew JohnsonLead Strength & Conditioning Coach - Dominic WalshStrength & Conditioning Coach - Jay Eastoe-SmithSenior Physiotherapist - Damien BowyerPhysiotherapist - Chris HedgesLead Match Analyst - Jason ToddMatch Analyst - David ReadInterns – Jake Griffin & Emily Hodson Kit Assistant - Pete DyeCoaches:U16 – Graeme Murty & Darren HuckerbyU15 - Darren Huckerby & David CoyleU14 – Jimmy Unwin & Adam Watkinson/John RevellU13 – Greg Crane & Adam Watkinson/John RevellU12 - Ali Colman & Matthew WrightU11- Adrian Forbes & Darren BloodworthU10 – Dan Goffin & Chris BrazellU9 – Matthew Wright & Ryan EltonGK – Kai AlgarRead more at http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/20140714-academy-staff-changes-1758579.aspx#3imRHaWx5RGJMIEh.

Katie Borkins 1 Posted July 14, 2014 Could he step up again into Joe Royle''s old role? Whatever that was? We could then appoint Kevin the Saturday turnstile boy to be head of Player Recruitment.
Google Bot 3,230 Posted July 14, 2014 Bad news - Kevin text me earlier, Asda have come in 15p above minimum wage and it looks like he''s being secured as part of their shelf stacking team. However, Dribbley Darren is apparently looking for work since they found him smuggling tic tacs out in to the skip round the back and picking them up later on his bmx. His contract officially terminated.
