I concur, but with Martin you get more control coming from the rear, last thing you want is having your pants pulled from behind when pushing up front.  Depends what your preference is i suppose, Howson has good ball control and likes to go hard through the middle which i also like.  Do you?

I think Russell Martin is perfectly good enough to be our right back in the Championship. Likewise, he is good enough to play centre back in this league. Definitely not a Premier League centre back though, and going on last season not a Premier League right back either.
