If only we had signed Ashton at the start of the season we wouldn''t be in such deep water...

Not one joke about floodlights, or bringing on a sub yet, quite surprised.

Joe Royle came and then went for family reasons. A pity, but no major loss.

Two warm-up games in Italy not working out. Not significant, IMO.

A couple of early season knocks which we are assured are minor. Always happens.

An ''Act of God'' that ''elf and safety have made judgement upon, for right or wrong.

A little run of unfortunates, but nothing to beat the Club for. I wouldn''t chose to turn a bout of hiccups into St. Vitus'' Dance on this occasion although I note that the fourth form remove (aka. TWTD) are having a bout of the communal  giggles at our expense. Nerves, I guess.

REAL bad news for me were if we were suddenly lose any of the key players that the rumour-mills constantly inform us are on the move. Every day that goes by without the loss of Ruddy, Redmond, Fer, Olsson and, yes, RVW and Hooper, is a good news day for me.

I suspect there might be worse to come than a few flooded seats though.

"I suspect there might be worse to come than a few flooded seats though"

It isn''t the seats which have flooded....

“Due to the torrential rain in recent days in the immediate area of Norwich City Football Club, the Barclay Stand Lower concourses and Russell Allison Lounge suffered partial flooding"

Can anyone remember this happening before? I can''t. Is the hotel next door flooded too? If not, why not.

What actually caused it? Surface water on the road? Drains? Roof?

A major football ground flooded and supporters inconvenienced but hey ho........

All together now:-

"When the weather is fine you know it''s a sign,

For messing about on the Barclay.

John Ruddy''s still here, as is Leroy Fer,

They''re messing about on the Barclay.

There''s rumours and stories and all kinds of craft,

Some like Soddy''s money are really quite daft.

So get no more thrill from the rumour mill,

Go messing about on the Barclay."

With apologies to Josh McCrae (who?) and all others who just sang that along with me.
