Why is he taking so long to say yes?

Recommended Posts

Assuming Malky has been offered the role why is it taking so long to announce a decision.

I have a horrible feeling that our hapless board are going to make a mess up of this appointment. Let''s face it they screwed up regularly all of last season. Why would be expect anything different in terms of the new manager appointment

It looks like they haven''t convinced Malky

Probably had more to do with his legal claim against Cardiff than mot wanting the job. Now that''s sorted expect announcement in next 24 hours.

He might have already said ''yes'' and the club are just waiting until Monday to make the announcement/press conference.

Manager contracts are pretty complicated and there is a lot to discuss - not a simple case of the club saying ''do you want to be our manger?'' and then giving a ''yes/no'' answer.

That being the case and assuming our chief exec was awae of this, did he get it ''horribly wrong'' again when affirming that a manager would be appointed within a week.Plenty of time yet of course

Did he say a manager would be appointed within a week or that the board would make a decision within a week?

[/quote]The official statement said, "The Board will confirm who our manager will be in the 2014-15 season in a statement to supporters within a week."Which gives them until 7:30pm tonight.

It is a ridiculously definitive statement given all the variables concerned.

What they got wrong, and not horribly wrong, is giving that timetable in the first place. But of all the crimes they could have committed this is not the most heinous. So lets give them a break.

There may yet be a statement today but if there isn''t it is not exactly going to hurt us to be a bit more patient.

Waiting to see if a Prem club wants him but chances are slim to none of that happening , still only 2/5 with Paddy Power with Lennon 5/2 so we can still hope we may get it right for a little bit longer at least .
