Derby Canary

Is this the same Malky Mackay whose player recruitment at Cardiff made CHs purchase of RVW look like a real bargain at £8.5m?

Recommended Posts

I had this discussion in real life today ,, I have to say that it does worry me , Tan may be "chicken oriental" but there is no smoke without fire ,, and looking at what was paid for a couple of Malky''s players ,, the thread title is spot on !!

Has anyone on this forum ever cocked up in life?

Has anyone on this forum made the very same mistake twice?

So why assume because Mackay bought a couple of duds, he will not learn from this?

Honestly, the IQ of some posters here must be double digit at best.

to be fair caulker & medel were too great signings on will both move on to a top club. He got it wrong with Cornelius but he wont be the 1st or last person to get it wrong.

Name me a premiership manager who has a 100% success rate with their signings. Even just one who''s signings just for last season were all a success.

As with a lot of decisions in football, and indeed life, not everything will turn out as well as you hoped.

Untrue?Listen to the views of a Cardiff fan who otherwise was fairly positive about MM:Apart from Caulker who i think is slight overrated and got away with

alot as we had worse defenders he didn''t buy many decent players.

1. Cornelius maybe should of been given a chance for a bit longer

but i seen him play for the development and also first team and there

was no chance in hell he was ready for the premiership (which malky

brought him in for) he wanted him to be the main striker and gave him

£45,000 a week on a 5 year deal at 19 years of age when he was on like

£5,000 a week at copenhagen.

2. Gary Medel cracking player for the first 10 games slowly drifted

off and looked very unfit and was never worth 11 million, which would of

rose to £15 million.

also players like theophile catherine who is awful.. john brayford

rated the best right back in the division who he spent 2 million on then

didn''t play him once who then went out on loan, and there''s a few

others who also didn''t really make much impact at Cardiff.

What are you basing your judgement on ''Canary on the Wire''?

Mackay didn''t decide the fee or the wages.

He may not have even decided the fucking player for god sake.

Dave Stringer bought Dean Coney and Darren Beckford-both were record fees for us at the time.

John Bond also broke our transfer record with Drazen Muzunic.

None of those three are, or will ever be, Canary greats. But neither of those Managers are judged on those bad buys but what they did as a whole for, and at, the club.

Judge Malky, if he is the man, on the day that he leaves us, not on what he did at Cardiff.

Yeah, big time!!  Spent £100 at a blind auction in Great yarmouth one summer, and received about £10 worth of ''quality'' electronics.
Has anyone on this forum made the very same mistake twice?
No way! The following year, i only bought a ticket for £75 at the blacked out auctions, and still received around £10 worth.  Saved myself roughly £25! …They don''t visit anymore though.

Funny you should say that, one of the calculators had a problem when you pressed the ''1'' button it would type ''11'' on the screen.  Fabulous places those auctions, where on earth did they go?!
