I really hope this summer...

Recommended Posts

Is not wasted playing games with big teams over a million here and a million there whilst Cardiff start building a squad for a promotion fight.

The club need to sit down or call every single player and just as them a simple question:

Are you staying or are you going? Give them three days to give a straight answer.

Transfer list the ones that say going with a non negotiable realistic asking prices, and invite the rest back to pre-season training. Tell the press which players remain employed by the club but are no longer a part of the team, and tell the press that all other players are not available for transfer.

Leave the rats to their own devices and tell them to stay in Dubai and train until we have accepted an offer, or allow them to use our facilities when the youth team are training.

Make this summer all about the players who are staying and bringing in players to replace those who want to leave.

I''m already sick of hearing speculation about Ruddy, Pilkington, Wes, and Snodgrass. Time to finish it all already and tell us who has the balls for the fight and which players are looking for a payday.

Either they are in or they are out.

Can''t argue against that.Just need to ask the players to give the fans one season to bust a gut for every game and get us back to where we should be.If they aren''t up for it, they can clear off.

You have to remember barring Cardiff no one else has done any business, isnt even june yet. All takes time, i can safely say im not too worried about Cardiffs signings and as it stands right now they have 2 players who would better our squad and thats Caulker & Medel and they will be off in the next 2 months so just relax and it will slowly all come together and realise we have a much better squad (as it stands) than anyone else in the championship.

How to alienate an entire squad in one go. Don''t get this whole Cardiff doing this and that thing, from what I''ve seen they are panic buying with no thought of building a squad that works. Chill out everybody is on holiday with a world cup about to kick off, panic buying/selling is not the answer.

Cardiff look like a disaster waiting to happen. They will end up with too many players to integrate into the team. It will be like Leicester a few years ago, or QPR, or us last year!

How is it alienating a squad InchY?

The players that don''t want to be here can go.

The players that do want to be here can stay.

That doesn''t alienate anybody, it gives them a clear choice.

Who the hell is going to pay the asking price for a player the club have effectively banned from playing for the team? Buying clubs will use the fact Norwich are desperate to sell these players and offer half their value if that.

All this stuff that the club keep saying about "no one has to be sold" etc is so clubs don''t feel they can get players from Norwich on the cheap - banishing the players to Dubai (!) is just going to remove pretty much all thier market value and mean Norwich are lumped with paying their wages. There could be 10 or so players in your outcast group, who Norwich would need to find replacements for - meaning they could end up with a squad around 35 - 40 players! That isn''t sustainable at all, especially if you expect good replacements to come in.

Also, it''s really easy to say "do you want to stay or go" but the reality is much more blurred than that - I''m sure most of the players who would happily play for Norwich, and play well, but would also jump at the chance to leave to a Premier League club. No point ostracising perfectly good, commited players, just because they would move up a league if given the chance.

Well it would be nice for the club to put forward a few players who can say into a camera that they want to stay. So far Russell Martin is the only one, would be nice to get a few more to settle the nerves.

It would do the world of good if we could get Nathan Redmond appearing in front of the camera telling us that he wants to play for Adams, or Olsson coming out telling us that he wants to get us back up.

It would help with the depression.

The players are off all over the world with their international teams or on holiday - they aren''t in Norwich at the moment to shove in front of a camera.

Redmond said in an interview with someone or other that he was staying, something about his mum telling him to...

Anyway, does it really matter if they do or not? We all know how hollow these things are in reality - a player who is happy to stay now can soon have his head turned by an offer from a larger club offering more wages. The best thing for everyone is just to forget about it a little bit and allow the dust to settle. Adams said in the press conference he had discussions with players at the end of the season about who wanted to stay and who wanted to go, so the club know where they stand now. It will take time for things to be sorted out.

The clue is in the word "team" players form friendships both on and off the pitch, the younger ones visit bars and clubs together the older family guys socialise as families so if you suddenly banish half to Dubai you upset their buddies and cause unrest amongst them also. Life is not as black and white as you paint it. I get where you are coming from but it''s a bad time with players spread across the world on holiday and with world cup squads etc this time of year is always the same but it''ll liven up soon enough once the world cup is over. Maybe you need a holiday too to settle the nerves...lol

I meant stay in Dubai as in don''t come back from holiday, but I get your point.

We may all be sick of Wes, but he probably still has friends in the squad that we respect and who want to stay. Point well made, and taken.
