Russ Martin -woeful defender

Recommended Posts

Russ Martin, the master if standing off. Allowing every attacker a free run at him. Back off, back off is his mantra. Truly a pathetic defender. Norfolk Cafu, my a$$.

Shouldn''t have played as many games as he has. Rarely better than average at rb or cb.

Who''s the alternative though? Whittaker, now he is terrible. At least you know what you get with Martin - a "6" perhaps a "7" every now and then

Haven''t seen many 6 or 7 showings from Martin. 5 at best most of the time.

Class wise he would be better off back at Peterborough his true level , but he''s another Mr Nice Guy and the bumpkins always fall head over heels for one of them .

Bassong''s absence can no longer go on unexplained. We can all surmise whether its to do with fitness or attitude on these message boards, but it needs asking directly of Adams at a press conference now.

How bad can he possibly be that he can''t get in THIS defence?!?........here we are battling against relegation and the team captain is nowhere to be seen, ....can''t be swept under the carper any longer.

oh, and if the local press do muster the bottle to ask the question...ask about Hoolahan and Pilkington whilst you''re at it..
