The Great Mass Debater

So how do we get something from Chelsea?

Recommended Posts

Lets hope Chelsea get a right good stuffing by Liverpool today and that they then focus their attention on the champions league for starters.

But how do we approach this away game? Nothing from yesterdays match to suggest our atrocious away form will change under Adams, so we have to assume we ARENT a deifferent animal away now. So what do we do? Going toe to toe hasnt worked. Target man who can win free kicks in Holt mould and hope for a snoddy free-kick and pack the midfield? Think we should perhaps focus on stifling Chelsea and play for a draw. Bassong restored to cb and Martin back at rightback. Midfield three of tettey, bj and fer?

We wont.

The sooner you accept the reality the sooner you can move on. This little Premier excursion is over.

Time to start thinking about next year''s promotion push.

4-5-1.

Tettey in, Elmander as a lone striker.

We need to play with our heads now and target a point at Chelsea, and a win at home to Arsenal.

We hope that Chelsea don''t win today, go to extra time in the Champions League semi, play some of the reserves against us and then get a player sent off early. Unlikely but you never know in this game.

I don''t think that Adam''s is going to "out-think" the special one. They have better players and are at home. We need to get lucky...very lucky. But Sunderland won there so why not? With such a long record of winning league matches at home, perhaps it can be like London buses and two defeats happen together. Here''s hoping (but not expecting).

Think I''d bring back Bassong. Apart from Olsson our other defenders are terribly slow. At least Bassong is a bit quicker. 4-5-1. with anybody apart from the disgrace that is RVW up front. Other than that, cross our fingers and hope.

Never going to get anything at the Bridge but maybe try a game with Johnson and Martin out of the team.

Why would we want a promotion push though?

Everyone is so disappointed with the PL. Its not much different for anyone in the bottom ten, where we will be again because we don''t have a billionaire owner. So whats the point competing in the Championship when we don''t want the reward?

No grounds for optimism - but we need pace, and threaded passes from midfield to run on to. Play down the wings and we will win nothing in the box.

Squad might as well all be sick and just don''t turn up. It''s all very real now as Sunderland ''shouldn''t'' throw away this win and we fall into the bottom three, where will stay :(

Well Chelsea have put out a weakened squad for today''s game, so they are not focussed on the title. Small crumbs.....

is it just me, or do they look there for the taking next week? Schwarzer hasn''t played us since Fulham beat us 7-0. Reckon Snoddy will get up Ashley Cole''s nose more than Suarez, Russ Martin will mark Torres/Ba/Eto tightly with his pace. Whittaker on Schirrle.. BJ to mark Oscar/Hazard/ Matic out of the game.

Must check the odds for an away win!! lol

Match fixing or bribing the officials! Though we still wouldn''t be able to put the ball in the net!

How...by taking a lesson from them today, as thats something like the way we should have been set up yesterday and how we should play against them......sure we havnt the quality they have, but thats the way to sneak points when the pressure is on......or, to avoid a tonking....but somehow I really dont think CH fully understands how to do it plus his players just are not giving enough, some are.....and thats not good enough..
