flecky76 0 Posted April 27, 2014 Sounds bizarre I know. But Sunderland play West Brom at home on Weds 7th May. If we fail to get a win at Chelsea next Sunday, only a Fulham victory at Stoke would keep West Brom remaining in any danger of relegation. That would mean they would be keen to get something at Sunderland, for whom a win would all but relegate us, only being able to overturn a massive goal difference, which simply won''t happen. So come on Fulham, please beat Stoke in order to give West Brom a reason to get something off Sunderland! Without that, we know what West Brom are like once they are on the beach.
flecky76 0 Posted April 27, 2014 Assuming we lose at chelsea next week, the best case scenario of us still having a realistic chance on the final day, would still rely on BOTH Palace and Swansea getting something each at both Fulham and Sunderland. And that''s if Sunderland get no more than 2 points over the next 2 games (Man U away and West Brom home). More than 2 points and we''ll be down prior to the last day. Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted April 28, 2014 There are only 5 teams in this now the bottom 3 Sunderland and villa. The terrible GD of the bottom 3 means only wins will save any of them. Even a win at home to Arsenal will probably not be enough now so unless we get a point or more at Chelsea it is holiday time for our lot
