nutty nigel 7,528 Posted April 23, 2014 Greetings PUPs and welcome toweek 37 of our Rays Funds season. This I’m pleased to introduce another of our ‘alltime ever presents’ because it’s The Great Drinkell in charge and making thefinal selections. One of the strengths of our great team of PUPs is ourdiversity and Drinks has always been an important member of our team because helooks for value. And because he is consistent in that Drinks provides anotheroption for whoever is in the hot seat. Paul is another of our team who I havegot to know and I enjoy our chats when we bump into each other. I also enjoyhis posts on the board which I can so often identify with. Of course he’s alsoresponsible for young ‘nana but we can forgive him that! [;)] Last week was a blip in ourform. There were too many freak results and poor GingerPele never stood achance. But our general form this season has been fantastic so hopefully we’llget back that magic touch and give Drinks some great options. Don’t forget yourselections must be listed on Bet365 or Bill Hill and played Sat/Sun/Mon thisweekend. Last weekend our MearKat managed to get both Norwich scorers winning us£10.50 taking the season’s total past £500. A magnificent achievement. Thisweekend we have a real star with Hissing Sid looking after the Norwich match. The renewed confidence in our team will give us more impetus to find optionsfor Ian. For so much of this season away games had become a real chore to findpositive suggestions for this bet. I’msure Ian would appreciate all your ideas for the exciting match at Old Trafford.Good luck Ian our fiver is in your hands. Don’t forget the bet can be a single£5 or divided into up to five individual £1 bets. Last week I published our last rota of of the season.: - Final Six03/05 jb - Confirmed10/05 graveycanaries17/05 Hector Brocklebank -ConfirmedNorwich Bet03/05 Anonymous Benefactor - Confirmed10/05 Beauseant - Confirmed Just need Gravey to confirm now. Good luck all you PUPs... Take it away Paul ... the thread isyours....... [:)]........... Hissing Sid 154 Posted April 23, 2014 Conference North for me this weekAFC Telford v Gainsborough Trinity - Home WinTelford are top and need a win to guarantee the title, Gainsborough are lower mid table with nothing to play for.As for the NCFC bet, thanks Nutty for giving me the chance at this. Got a couple of ideas already, and yes, they are nice and positive. So, keep the suggestions coming. I''ll be looking to post them on Friday afternoon, a bit early as I''ll be travelling to Manchester later.Best of luck Drinks, and all you PUPs.
Mr Angry 1,554 Posted April 23, 2014 By my reckoning the Canaries of Istanbul can clinch the Super Lig title this weekend so I''m going for a home win for Fenerbahce against Rizespor, odds are 2/5.Best of luck to the Great Drinkell and all PUPs.

Feedthewolf 4,846 Posted April 23, 2014 Ajax, who have the best award record in the Eredivisie, travel to Heracles Almelo, who have the worst home record in the division. Ajax can wrap up the title in style with victory here. For the Norwich bet, Norwich to win 3-2. No idea why, just a hunch.
lake district canary 4,531 Posted April 23, 2014 Championship for me please.Burnley to beat Ipswich. ---------------------------------Norwich bet - Turner to score, 1-0 to Norwich.Good luck pups!
SwindonCanary 455 Posted April 24, 2014 Picked it last week by mistake so I think I''ll stay with it Real Madrid home win against Osasuna Norwich bet - Away win (PLEASE LET IT BE)
AJ 1,218 Posted April 24, 2014 Ajax for me please. On verge of wrapping up the title so should be firing on ask cylinders. As for the Norwich bet an away win would be lovely. Possibly Hooper and Snodgrass to score? They seem our most likely!
The Great Drinkell 50 Posted April 24, 2014 Good morning all, and thanks to NN not only for the lovely introduction but also for the time and energy that he puts into this thread. To give a little guidance on my probable selections pattern, my knowledge of World football is limited so I tend to stick with what (I think) I know .- I always look for that value bet so would expect 4 selections to be "certainties" with the other 2 selections being value to try and boost the funds. I will be posting my selections on Friday evening as the golf course beckons on Saturday morning. So get your thinking caps on and I can promise you all selections will be looked at.Oh and by the way NN, I''m only partially responsibly for young Nana!! For the Norwich bet - I suggest a 2-2 draw. and hope it''s the same score at Sunderland!
Gingerpele 0 Posted April 24, 2014 Going for a ''slightly risky'' one, but I personally think its a great choice. Premiership, away win for Everton. They are gunning for top four, Southampton can''t realistically catch Man.U and Newcastle''s poor form means they''ve probably already secured a very respectable 8th place, and Lallana/Shaw/Lambert plus others will have one eye on the World Cup and not want to get injured with so little to play for in the league, they''ve already seen J-Rod suffer an injury forcing him out of it.Southampton vs Everton- Away win.As for the Norwich bet, i''m drawn to 2-2 but Drinks has already offered it so for something different I quite like Howson to score anytime at 15/2. And Nutty will the Anonymous Benefactor be revealing themselves when they pick next week?Good luck :)
nutty nigel 7,528 Posted April 24, 2014 I''m staying in England for TGD and to the Championship where Wigan can cement a place in the play-offs with a home win against Blackpool. Wigan at home are W12 D7 L3 F35 A21 while Blackpool awat are W3 D7 L12 F16 A39. This is Wigan''s last home game so I expect them to do the business. Blackpool are fighting for points at the other end which makes them dangerous but I think their best chance of getting points is the last game at home to Charlton. Wigan v Blackpool Home Win For Sid how about Bradley Johnson to score anythime at 11/1.
Herman 9,755 Posted April 24, 2014 LIVERPOOL to win sadly.Good luck GD and all PUPS[Y]

Hissing Sid 154 Posted April 25, 2014 Here we go then with the match bet, a bit early but I''m about to head off to Manchester for the weekend. Might even take in a game while I''m there!!Thanks again Nutty for the chance and to all you PUPs for your suggestions. No-one gives City a chance this week after Giggs took over but I''ve been a bit positive with this...why not. So here they are, all from Bet365£1 Norwich to win 17/2£1 Hooper anytime and 2-2 45/1£1 HT Draw FT Draw 15/2£1 Draw and both teams score 11/2£1 Snodgrass to score anytime 11/2Fingers crossed... Hector Brockelbank 95 Posted April 25, 2014 Have been trying to find some value for TGD but am struggling a bit. Was tempted by Napoli away at inter at odds of 11/5 but on closer inspection passed them over. At this time of the season I like to try and keep to teams that are playing for something, although this is usually factored into there price as is the case with my selection this week. I''m going down to the ryman premier and a home win for playoff chasing lowerstoft town at 4/11 with bet365. 4/11 is plenty short enough for a team at that level but is just a different option for TGD.Lowerstoft town home winMy recommendation for the match bet this week would have been to take the 9/4 about a draw or Norwich win on the double chance coupon. Best of luck everybody
Statto28 0 Posted April 25, 2014 Luton win for me please As always heres hoping for both a City and PUPs win
norfolkchance1 0 Posted April 25, 2014 Rochdale to beat Cheltenham for me this week.Good luck TGD and hissing Sid and all pickers. Not sure what to suggest for the Norwich bet heart maybe ruling head but have been encouraged by last weeks match against Liverpool to feel that the fighting spirit and effort is there to beat Man Utd. So maybe 1-0 win?
