Player of the season vote

Recommended Posts

The club have shot themselves in the foot by opening the voting to social media. Every plastic with a smart phone given free reign to express their valueless opinion. I have long held the view that voting should be restricted to season ticket holders only in a postal ballot. The informed views of this loyal band alone should decide the winner of the Barry Butler trophy.

hopefully the cub will learn to not be so stupid in the future. Now that this Nash story has hit the national papers, 90% of the Nash votes are from people who have nothing to do with norwich. Stupidity at its finest

And what about club members are they not loyal? There are a lot of people who cannot have a season ticket for various reasons

I can guarantee that when it comes to the results. After tallying up every way the votes have been submitted Mr Nash will not be in the top 3.

"Membership" is hardly displaying the same level of support as forking out for a season ticket. The POTS should be chosen on the balance of their performance over the whole season, something which season ticket holders alone are best placed to judge.

BankontheBarclay are you clinically insane?

How on earth can you group Johnson and Howson with Wolfswinkle and say all three are worse than Nash? Its not clever, its not funny. I''m not sure what it is to be honest.

Surely there would be more irony in everyone voting for the wolf to won pots? I actually think he would lap it up in a crazy Dutch kind if way!

you couldn''t be any more wrong, how many season ticket holder''s go to away games im guessing not as many as non season ticket holder''s, throw in the online stream''s and the odd home game at carrow road people can make than they have just the sort of idea on who they think should be player of the season

Surely if Nash has 3,000 votes

Snodgrass 2,000

Ruddy 1,800

etc then surely common sense would prevail and Snodgrass would get it, its not difficult.

Hughtons Anti Football - you would hope so wouldn''t you.

Nash himself has said that if he''s awarded it, he''ll reject it and make sure it''s given to someone who deserves it. The embarrassing thing will be if the club actually announces Nash as the official winner, and then backtracks and gives it to 2nd place.

If that happens, they need to sack the PR team at Carrow Road. The most face-saving strategy would be to announce the 2nd placed player as the winner, and say "As the club suspect foul play (make your own joke up about the standard of our football this season) regarding the POTS vote, we announce John Ruddy/Olsson/Snodgrass as the winner of this year''s trophy".
