Syteanric 1 Posted May 7, 2014 All his fault! now has a relegation on his CV.poor team selection, Playing players out of position (redmond up front) Set up too defensively at Man united and chelsea...not enough experience... Gunn Mark 2....*wait for it....*
Branston Pickle 3,598 Posted May 7, 2014 Tongue in cheek or not, this does rather show that we might''ve been a bit better off trying to play a bit more of an attacking game at the end on Sunday. God knows a draw wasn''t a bad result, we just needed more.
Manic Street Preacher 0 Posted May 7, 2014 Regardless of who was in charge, i think the reality is most of the squad aren''t as good as we hoped.Credit to Sunderland. Their players have delivered when they''ve needed to.
Yellow Bird 0 Posted May 7, 2014 Adams was damed if he did and damed if he didnt. If we went for it Sunday, Chelsea could have slaughtered us. Too late now. None of this is Adams'' fault. He was handed a massive task after The Board, Hughton & Co messed it up, big time.,

Also, looking back at Man united, they werent that good against us, had we of got amongst them, as Sunderland did at the weekend, we''d have come away with 3 points...we seemed accepting of our fate since Fulham. Mr Brownstone 0 Posted May 7, 2014 Maybe we should have tried playing a more attacking game for the first 33 games.
CanaryOne 0 Posted May 7, 2014 Should never have been appointed and the sooner hes gone the better , tinpot appointment that should never have happened and wouldnt have at any Premiership club other than ours .

Guest Posted May 7, 2014 Strange how it comes across from some supporters that it was Adams'' fault.Short memories concerning a manager who has at least won something for this club. Why keep mentioning his name? He would have been financially mad and a bit disloyal not to have taken the job.Why aren''t people blaming McInally and the board far more than Neil Adams? pliff 4 Posted May 7, 2014 Agreed time for the cook and her Klingons to go they will certainly go for the cheap option as manager if they get their way I am so fed up with it all
mrs miggins 0 Posted May 7, 2014 well thats not strictly true jas. Hughton goy us into some pretty damn bad form, relegation form like Mcnally said, then Adams just finished the job by doing a hundred times worse.
Mr Brownstone 0 Posted May 7, 2014 100 times worse? I think not.Adams managed 1 point more than Hughton would have, and we''d probably need 25 against Arsenal rather than 18.

City 2nd 191 Posted May 7, 2014 I simply cannot believe that anyone, after watching nearly two seasons of ultra defensive, dire and un imaginative football under the guidance of Mr Hughton people point the finger at Adams.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted May 7, 2014 Utterly pathetic thread and comments against Adams. He may not be the man for the job. Personally I think he should go back to his old job but......To have a go at Neil Adams while Hughton and his pay off gets away Scot free from the ultimate disappointment is so wrong. Is Adams the fall guy for our negligent CEO and Board too? Mr Brownstone 0 Posted May 7, 2014 Our form (Old Trafford aside) was a huge improvement over the usual Hughton "play-for-a-draw-then-go-1-down-after-15-minutes-and-crumble" fests of the past 18 months. Adams didn''t stand a chance with those fixtures.Make no mistake, we are going down because of Hughton, not because of Adams.
K Lo 219 Posted May 7, 2014 Regardless of which manager we had, even Lambert for the pro-Lamberts out there, how many points would we, in any season, have expected to get from:Fulham (away)Liverpool (home)Man U (away)Chelsea (away)Arsenal (home) ?Losing to West Brom at home was the final killer. Reverse that result and West Brom are on 33, Norwich on 36.Yes, we had many other lame results but that one stands out.
mrs miggins 0 Posted May 7, 2014 no our form got a lot worse. If you look at the graph on the link below, it tells you our form towards the bottom of the page. Hughton got us in relegation form so it was looking as if we were going down, he put Mcnally in a position where there was a decision to make. He took the decision to make Adams the manager, we then hit much worse form, I don''t understand how this is wrong? we were in worse form after Adams took control despite harder games.http://www1.skysports.com/football/teams/norwichcity
Mr Brownstone 0 Posted May 7, 2014 No, our fixtures were worse, not our form.Would we have dominated Fulham away under Hughton?Would we have come from behind to score 2 against the League Leaders under Hughton?Would be have got a point away against the Champions League Semi-Finalist and 2nd place team in the League under Hughton?I think if you''re honest with yourself you know the answer to all of the above is No.
