Positives from the season.....

Recommended Posts

Lots of negatives about this season I know, what if any positives can be drawn from this one do you think?

My main ones are we have had the extra sky money which should put us in good stead for next season.

Some of the younger players have been involved in the first team more or loaned out to teams who have been successful, winning league''s and play offs etc.

The extra money from the BT deal won''t help us next season, that just went on transfer fee''s and in the pockets of players and agents.

The likes of the Murphy and Loza getting debuts and not looking out of place in the Premier League is a real positive though.

Another one will be getting shot of some of the players that don''t care about our club. Looking forward to hopefully feeling connected to the group of players wearing the shirt again, something that has been continually eroded over the last 2 years.

In a weird way, it''s a positive that we didn''t gamble in January. We don''t have many overheads that we''ll struggle to get rid of.

We got rid of Hughton and his coaches.

I would rather be in the Championship without him than in the Premier League with him.

The other positive is that our Board will learn from the mistake of not acting early enough.

Whoever the new manager is, if we are not top 6 at Christmas, he''ll be gone.

For me one of the highlights has to be that the best moment from Ipswich''s and Leeds'' season has been that we''ve been relegated. It just goes to show how bad a situation they are both in. They can''t celebrate any success, so they have to celebrate failure. Every cloud has a silver lining. [;)]

We''ll get a proper kit to play in next year, and we won''t have t put up with the patronizing MOTD team.
