Tetteys Jig 830 Posted May 12, 2014 Of all the 284 players who played enough games to qualify, RVW was the worst player in the premier league with 6.19 average rating. There''s a nice stat to be associated with!
Souey 0 Posted May 12, 2014 Our Ricky also came a creditable 1366th in the ranking of players from the top european leagues - out of 1368!I feel slightly embarrassed for the 2 guys below him.
Salopian 1 Posted May 12, 2014 The stats do not lie, but they may not tell the whole truth.I have memories of "glaring chances" missed by RvW, but a large proportion of these were too late, because of our rather lumbering attack allowed defences to mark him, and misdirected, - arriving behind him. We did not learn how to play the type of passes to use him fully, and very often he had to resort to fetching and carrying for himself. He failed us, but I think that we also failed him. Holtcantshoot 0 Posted May 12, 2014 Though looking at Grant Holt''s profile page on WhoScored it listed his weakness as "Offensive awareness". Personally I thought that was the one strength he had helping him to overcome his lack of pace and ball skill.
ZLF 271 Posted May 12, 2014 Why just cherry pick on bad stat? for example BJ made the bottom 5 worst midfield passers for the third season running yet we still pick him, our team average was only better than Cardiffs by 0.02 - so the whole team performed badly. Most damning is the team summary; no strengths (particularly none around use of of getting the ball back), unable to keep the ball or win in back (number of won tackles per game dropped dramatically without Fer) and the fact one player dominates our playing style with despite failing to find a city shirt with 214 of their crosses shows we continued to try thing hoping it would suddenly get better despite incompetence proving that they wont. He also lost possession more per minute than any other player (incl BJ) yet still gets POTS - magic + StrengthsProtecting the lead Strong - WeaknessesKeeping possession of the ball Weak Aerial duels Weak Avoiding individual errors Weak Defending against skillful players Weak Defending against attacks down the wings Weak Finishing scoring chances Very Weak Defending counter attacks Very Weak Norwich StyleTake long shots Long balls Attempt crosses often Take a lot of shots Attacking down the right

The rest of the midfield were more than content making 5 yard pointless passes and in the case of Johnson often couldn''t even do that without giving the ball away. Yes we often attacked down the right but Snodgrass couldn''t pass to himself so this was Hughton / team mates decision not his and I think was greatly influenced by the loss of Holt meaning we only had a barely conscious shaven sloth up front to try and play the ball to.
