Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . .

So what are the positives, and where are the excuses this week?

They''ll tell you there''s all to play for at Craven Cottage. Delaying the inevitable for yet another week.

The ONLY possible positive is that CH now knows if we don[t beat fulham we are down.Perhaps he might actually send out a team to take the game to the opposition away from home?!?!?1

Positives = Jonny Howson. A superb performance in amongst a pile of rubbish.

If we''d won today and against stoke it would be a rather boring safe end to the season, Hughton clearly values the need for an exciting finish to the season (Y)

Nothing positive can be taken from today. Players were awful. None of them deserve any praise and did not play for the shirt or fans. Disgraceful.

They looked tired. Championship players struggling to keep it going. Need to upgrade in so many positions.

Still not over and still in our hands but today''s result makes it much tougher.

Bassong''s " we cant wait for the season to be over" seems to be ringing true...they need to try and wina  few more games first though!hard to see where it''s coming from.

When we lose it''s always ''the players aren''t up to it''. ''The players have to to take the blame, not the manager''. When we win you lot are straight on here giving it ''well done Chris Hughton''. ''Hughton got his tactics spot on today etc''. Imagine wanting to possess a cake and at the same time wanting to eat it.

The obvious positive is that we''re still not in the bottom 3 and there''s a 5 point gap. Beat Fulham and order is restored. Swansea are only a point above us so they are going to be worried too, especially after getting beaten at mighty Hull today. And for all the fact that they beat us today WBA are still utter garbage and are level on points.

The things is though that the mood music is terrible at NCFC right now and I don''t see us getting another 3 points. What has happened since the Sunderland game? That was a great performance on the day. We took it to them, dominated and looked like scoring. That was the NCFC I have wanted to see all season and I was hopeful that we''d turned a corner. But Instead of pushing on we''ve had the debacle at Swansea and now this dross against WBA. Did the Swansea defeat knock the stuffing out of us? The players looked beaten today right from the start. This is surely a confidence issue that a change in manager could rescue if only for the temporary improvement in performance that is often accompanied by such changes. The frustrating thing about the situation is that we''re as close to safety as we are to relegation but we seem intent on shooting ourselves in the foot.

Wasn''t one relegation part of McNally''s original seven year plan when he took over? If so we are on target, and we will come back up next season a leaner and fitter unit. Just like Newcastle did a few years ago under Chris Hu......oh hang on a minute. I haven''t really thought this one through...
