Shocking and unnecessary. Why

sack a manager with just 5 games to go? Especially considering that

their last 4 games are Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal. What

makes it worse is that they have appointed their U-18''s coach full-time

by the looks of it. I thought Norwich were a well ran club. My opinion

is now starting to change.

I would suggest that in order

to have ''the maximum chance to secure the points required between now

and the end of the season'' the board should have let Chris Hughton see

out the rest of the season. Sacking a manager with just 5 games to go is

madness

This is a bad decision. They should have kept him. This may destroy the team moral.

Disgraceful...Hughton has

done a brilliant job at a club who are punching above their weight in

the Prem. We''ll see how they do without him,not only for last 5 games but

also next year...

I cannot believe this! OK

their away form is awful, but so is arsenals. But their home form is

really good. Only 1 loss in 6! a run which included a win versus spurs

and a draw with title favourites city. Very harsh to sack him.

A bit premature I felt Chris

was doing ok not in the danger zone, he was sacked at Newcastle though

he was doing fine there, sorry to see him go.

Left it to late, should have been done months ago. Given Neil very little room to achieve anything.

sacking a manager with 5 games to go? best of luck wherever you go next

Chris, hope you find a club that appreciates you

Why would you be a manager?

All that blood sweat and tears for what? The craziness of the manager

merry go round takes another victim in 2013 / 2014. Good luck Chris. You

will probably be back in the PL before Norwich!

This should have happenned at

Christmas time. Far too late to make any difference and will probably

only make our relagation even more inevitable now

what a joke, the board knew

18 months ago he had no leadership skills and was going to struggle in

his job, now the season is near over, they sack him to save face and get

the fans back on side, hope Mcnally has left the club aswell, your left

it too late to save the club, OTBC

I couldn''t care less about what any of them think. They have no idea what they''re talking about or whats been going on here. All they see is tiny country club sack lovely bloke who was just trying his best against all odds. They''re opinion the same as everyone spouting off in the media is complete rubbish, the board have made the only decision they could

I can only hope Hughton ends up managing a club that one of those ''support''. They are probably all plastic Man U fans calling for Moyes to be sacked or Newcastle fans in mid table calling for Pardew to be sacked.

Would they want to condemn him to a home match against Liverpool with the inevitable result of the crowd turning on the poor ba$tard. No it''s best he goes now for his own sake if not the clubs. I''ve always supported him and the team. Not to have done so would have been perverse IMO Once the chants started it was non survivable.
Why as they have a different opinion to you?
Given that their opinion is based upon nothing more than Chris Hughtons character and that they perceive our club to be much smaller than we actually are, yes. Their opinion is just plan wrong, not to mention they never watch us play kinda means anything they say is completely invalid

Yes its too late and has little chance of success but something needed to be done. These idiots don''t see the problems with City''s performances since December 2011 home or away the results have largely been poor

I have completely mixed reactions over this news. Long term I believe it totally correct. But short term... My only concern is that Hughton, love him or loathe him, had a pretty decent record against the ''big boys'', and as we''ve got 4 in the last 5 I would have backed him to get A win. What concerns me is the players know this ''confidence builder'' and, perhaps tellingly, the players representing Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd and (not so much!) Liverpool know this as well - remember they will likely be under pressure as well...

Hughton sadly not the right man, and had to go - but as for the reasons stated... I''m not quite jumping through hoops. Think a Hoddle type short term would be more ''intimidating'' to the opposition, and would give their managers more food for thought.

Onwards...
