Meggo and his five cup finals

Recommended Posts

A touch of déjà vu. Meggo appointed caretaker with five games to go. Rallying call about them all being cup finals. Anyone care to remind us how that worked out? Who will be the latter day Tony Yebobah? Finished with Massed ranks of Villa fans serenading us with "We''llmeet again". Will the Gooners be doing the same?

Not the same scenario....During the season we sold Ekoku, Robins, and Culverhouse.Bryan Gunn broke his leg and we had several terrible loan keepers (Tracey, Hallworth, Rhodes), had sold Scott Howie, and were left with an 18 year old Andy Marshall in goal who was nowhere near ready.John Deehan resigned, was not sacked. So unless Van Wolfswinkel and Hooper go AWOL, and Ruddy and Bunn break their legs, and Olsson gets injured in training this week..... the situation isn''t comparable.

Who knows what adams team will be,   Becchio to start,   go 451 and play a long ball game exploiting pace down the flanks with redderz and murphy.

Rifts in squad now being aired - we will know little before the tea is announced at 2.07pm on sat.

Just need to stick together

As Juge says, this is different. Deehan ran for the hills and threw the ticking bomb to Megson. I actually always admired Meg for it.

That''s not to say we do any better, but the circumstances are not the same.

PS I hope we get biscuits with Zippers tea?
