The Great Mass Debater

Recommended Posts

Thats how The Mirror puts it anyway...

Im sorry, what has him being black got to do with anything? It was hardly brutal either!

Hughton has a lot of friends in the game and I long suspected our Board were frightened of negative headlines like these and this affected their judgement. He should have gone months ago.

It''s nothing more than a click-bait headline.

Ethnicity doesn''t come into it at the end of the day, a poor manager is a poor manager, as Hughton was found out to be.

if he had been managing a football team in Nigeria would a newspaper have stated that the only white manager had been sacked ?

all we need now are some MP''s like Diane Abbott and ex-players like Sol Campbell to start shouting the Race card and this will escalate beyond belief!

The clear fact was he did just about enough last season but was lacking in this one. Most of us would have been fired ages ago in our jobs if we returned the kind of perforce he did.

Would anyone care if the manager was green/pink/blue/red/yellow if we were top 4 of the Prmeier League??

If people think that criticising a club for sacking a black manager is going to help with getting more black managers opportunities then they are deranged. If we get stick for sacking Hughton then who on earth is going to want to appoint a black manager when they will inevitably have to sack him one day (not because he is black, but because that''s what happens to black managers).Talk about being counter productive..... let''s round on a club who just gave a black manager almost two full seasons of employment, more than the EPL average job length, to show everybody how big and bad the clubs are.To sack a black manager you have to appoint a black manager! Paul Ince got himself the sack by touting his son a freebie, costing his employers millions of pounds. Keith Alexander died.Chris Hughton will get himself another job this summer.Chris Powell just spent three years as Charlton boss. The Daily Mirror used the race card with the Powell sacking too. Want to know who is racist? The Daily f*cking Mirror.

That really is a terrible headline and typical of the tabloid press.........I bet they have even some how tried to link David Cameron to the decision too. But seriously, that is bad form and what has it got to do with old jug ears anyway?

I''m sure I heard the stat 10 wins in last 51 games recently, tie that to watching an awful style of football and some poor decision making and that is a compelling case for dismissal in the modern game.

What a load of tosh, he was sacked because basically he was a absolute crap manager! To take us down this season (Which he 100% would of done) while Hull and Crystal Palace survive is absolute criminal! He has had a bloody good wage, enough to sit comfortable for the rest of his life.I 110% believe I could of kept this squad up this season and I am only a level 2 coach! He has been complete and utter clueless from start to finish!

He''s more mixed race than white surely?! Don''t think they''d say that somehow.

Don''t know who wrote the article suspect it was Damian Lewis the black journalist who regularly appears on SSN with Mick Dennis. Made disparaging noises re CH before re McNally comments and see the article on Twitter left a pointed comment there. Don''t see such comments from a white writer but maybe someone who sees this as a race issue. Bonkers what do you think Gary.

Exactly what I said Devil''s advocate.... in order to sack a black manager you have to have appointed one in the first place!

"the only black manager in English football" says a lot more about the other 91 clubs than it does us ...

...if there is ANY race argument here it can only be about EQUALITY, and that means the opportunity to be fired, just as it means the opportunity to be hired.

CH was hired because we thought he''d proven that he was a good manger; he was fired because the evidence in front of everyone''s eyes said that he wasn''t performing to the expected level for NCFC.
What exactly is it about the sacking of Chris Hughton that makes it "brutal"?

Did Delia beat him up before he left or something?
Maybe they slipped James Morrison a fiver...

I wonder what our old friend Mark Bright thinks about all this? We''re a racist club after all...

Well all of these clubs at least have appointed a black manager in recent history:Newcastle (x2)BirminghamNorwichMacclesfield (x2)MK DonsBlackburnNotts CountyBlackpoolLeicesterCharlton (x2)LincolnPeterboroughTranmereWolvesAnd that''s just the CV of Ince, Hughton, Powell, Alexander, Barnes, Connor. So you can take those off of the list of 92 clubs.
