Nicko 0 Posted April 11, 2014 All the pundits have us down to lose and be relegated.Merson: I can''t believe what Norwich did with their manager. Why sack Chris Hughton before this game? This was always the big game because the next four are matches they shouldn''t win anyway. I can understand why you would want to do it after this match, but if they lose this one they will be relegated - because Fulham have got nice games and the momentum would have changed. I watched Norwich last week and they weren''t great, but this is just an act of panic. I''m going to back Fulham to win this game and stay up - and it''s relegation for Norwich. I wouldn''t have said that seven days ago!Mark LawrensenI am perplexed by Norwich sacking Chris Hughton and bringing in somebody with absolutely no experience to replace him.Neil Adams has done a fantastic job with the Canaries youth team but managing young players is completely different to managing in the Premier League, even before you consider that they are in a relegation fight and have got a really tough run-in to the season.Norwich appointing Neil Adams might end up doing Fulham a huge favourAdams will bring in a fresh outlook and the change might lift the players but it is asking a lot for him to make a winning start, bearing in mind only Cardiff have a worse away record than Norwich in the Premier League this season. He is unproven and in charge for only a few games - and his appointment might end up doing Fulham a huge favour. The Cottagers are at home, and also had a really good victory at Aston Villa last week. I am backing them to win again on Saturday, and really they have to - because their best chance of staying up would be at the expense of the Canaries.Win this and they narrow the gap on Norwich, and to safety, to two points. They would be back in touch but, if they lose it, they would probably be doomed.Lawro''s prediction: 2-0George''s prediction: Fulham should get the result they need. 1-0Hope this is motivation for the lads. a1canary 0 Posted April 11, 2014 All the pundit''s predictions last week were that we would beat WBA and that they would be doomed! The national media''s "faux horreur" at the startling news that "struggling premier league teams sacks manager" could help to galvanise us and create a really strong vibe in the dressing room to come out and show them. ReadingCanary 0 Posted April 11, 2014 The thing is..... Hughton''s away record was dreadful... but they seem to be suggesting without Hughton we would have won tomorrow.Madness.
MancCanary 0 Posted April 11, 2014
They''d have said the same regardless of sacking the clown.
Wiz is right here. They would''ve been saying how poor Norwich are away, how it''s another "must-win" game or Hughton and how he''s been on the verge of losing his job all season. That was their angle whilst he was in charge, and now it''s that we''re just panicking, & have a manager with no experience. It''s incredible how limited their imagination is. Tetteys Jig 830 Posted April 11, 2014 It''s not a fault on their part, it''s a prediction. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. I suspect they will be wrong. I''m not convinced in the slightest by Fulham, they only beat Villa and Newcastle this year, two teams who simply couldn''t be arsed to show up.
Fiery Zac 1,065 Posted April 11, 2014 What is Merson on about? He thinks we should''ve kept Hughton for tomorrow, lost our 8th away game in a row.....and then sack him cos we''re f***ed for the last 4 games anyway?
......and Smith must score. 1,311 Posted April 11, 2014
Why wouldn''t they have us down to lose? Fulham will be massive favourites.
Hardly massive favourites at 6/5. Next week Liverpool are 2/5 to win at Carrow RdNow that''s what I call massive favourites........

The logic from both Merson and Lawro is bizarre. Lawro says it''ll be tough for Adams to get off to a winning start because our away record is so bad this season. So that''s a good reason to keep the manager who has overseen that away record, then.... What they say just supports the case for replacing Hughton by Adams IMO. The Great Mass Debater 1,071 Posted April 11, 2014 Thank god they havent predicted us to win! Merson showing his ignorance in stating he doesnt know why we sacked him before this game. Surely the idea is obvious? Having watched any of our recent ''must win games'' that much would be apparent?

Bill 1,788 Posted April 11, 2014 "bearing in mind only Cardiff have a worse away record than Norwich in the Premier League this season."so we sack the bloke responsible for that appalling record ... and we are wrong !well wellwhat is surprising is that there are still folk who are daft enough to go read this sh ite they spew out week after week - that is presuming they actually write the stuff and not some '' script/editorial assistant'' as with MOTD and elsewhereI''ve seen grown men dribbling over the Sun''s football reports, apparently unaware that they are no more than stuff some intern has cobbled together off the internetOr squeaking on here about what sky have said about players being signed by Cityonly shame is not their stupidity - but that I haven''t a quid for ever false transfer story they have ran in the past 12 monthsthat would be my season ticket sorted

wcorkcanary 4,315 Posted April 11, 2014 FFS, why does anyone listen to these clowns? i dont like the idea of sacking our manager per se, but, and,its a big but, the board couldnt sit on its hands any longer, had we beat w brom i reckon CH would still be in the job, but we didnt ,so he aint. Simple.NA should bring a more pacey counter attack style to our game, CH, bless him, looked to have the one style, very conservative and easy to negate. Its very easy for these guys to trot out the sane old drivel, despite naming CH to be the ''next one gone '' for most of the season.
