Tetteys Jig 830 Posted April 20, 2014 That should keep us in business for a few mediocre championship seasons.
Crafty Canary 490 Posted April 20, 2014 As long as the board invoke the contractual reductions in salaries based on status. Last time they kept the premiership wages to encourage the players to achieve a swift return. We all know where that led.

Thank goodness there are some bright teachers out there who can point them in the right direction. You have to feel sorry for the kids who are taught by clowns though. Juggy 0 Posted April 20, 2014 "£60mill over four years. Roughly evenly distributed"Completely wrong, it isn''t evenly distributed at all as the first year payment is £23m. The second year payment is a little less. Then the third and fourth year are less than half that amount. So we basically have two seasons of being able to keep a competitive squad, if we aren''t promoted in those two seasons then we will be out of this league for a decade again probably. Juggy 0 Posted April 20, 2014 Year one: £23mYear two: £18mYear three: £9mYear four: £9mAccording to The Guardian.

Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted April 20, 2014 Our current wages are about £50m and even with relegation clauses and high earners moving on we may slip back into the red again, what a shame and so avoidable
Juggy 0 Posted April 20, 2014 The £60m package was announced at the end of last season, came into effect this season, and relates to all teams relegated over a three year period (last season, this season, next season). So QPR''s package is £60m over four seasons, and our package will also be £60m over four seasons, and whoever is relegated next season will also get £60m over four seasons. We will get £60m if relegated this season. The new TV deal came into effect this past summer, as did the new parachute payments. These things don''t go up annually, they go up each time the TV rights are renegotiated.
