Problem is, as we all know, Bassong is one of Hughton''s golden boys, regardless of peformance or attitude he will remain a starter and captain for the rest of the season. I didn''t see him laughing and joking at the end of the game but, if he did, he should be told to seriously sort himself out, be professional at least and show the club some respect.I think we have been missing a real leader this season - someone to lead by example and push the team on. Should we drop Bassong as captain? No. It would be irrational and cause unrest in the squad. Either drop him or tell him to start playing like we know he can. It''s definitely something we are lacking, but I think the amount of emphasis put on who wears the armband is OTT.That said, Bassong can''t keep making major errors and still expect to keep his place. I just don''t see who looks a better option. Similarly I don''t see a better option to replace him in the team. Unless we''re going for the overrated Ryan Bennett. Give it a couple of months and people would soon be calling for the return of Bassong.
