A very faint light at the end of the tunnel

Wigan stand between Arsenal and the FA Cup final. Although they knocked out Man City in the previous round, the chances of them stopping Arsenal on the lush turf of Wembley are extremely thin.

Arsenal are currently strongly placed in the top four of the PL, but not strongly enough to suggest they will compete for the title.

Their ''top four'' spot should be secured before May 11th and their final league match at Carrow Road. With the prospect of winning their first trophy for many years on May 17th, there has to be every chance that Wenger will rest many of his star players ahead of the Cup Final, or those that do play will be doing their utmost to avoid injury.

As luck would have it, and should points be required, it might turn out to be the ideal time to be playing Arsenal.

Yrp, good point OP, lets just hope that they arent in contention for the title or struggling to get a top four finish. But if we can shut out Man City, we can shut out Arsenal, and even beat them. So many people dropped out of our local ''last man standing'' in the week City beat Spurs.

Ha, the Cup final is going to be between Wigan and Sheff Utd, with the latter becoming the first 3rd tier club to win it. The Premier league will withdraw their clubs from the cup in the following year. Oh and Arsenal will field their strongest team available against us but we still tonk ''em!
