Yellow Green Army 248 Posted March 15, 2014 Have not been impressed by him since he signed but at least today he showed effort, commitment and got his reward with a goal when he came on.We are way to lightweight when Hooper or Van Wolfswinkel are played up top on there own and we just do not create anything with that formation. We are not even solid in defence.4-3-3 the way to go for me.I would like to see Hooper, Elmander, Hoolahan, Redmond, Howson and Tettey in the same team and lets just go for it. I would not play Hoolahan out wide in that team either.
Houston Canary 0 Posted March 15, 2014 In the match thread, morky Leander it is patently obvious Elmander isn''t here to score goals. Can you imagine the outcry if this philosophy had been made public when we brought him in? Maybe that''s why the Turkish club put him out on loan; he was scoring too many goals so they needed him to hone his not-scoring skills elsewhere. .
GJP 79 Posted March 15, 2014 Not a bad player but not the player we needed.
Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted March 15, 2014 I agree with the Op poster but we will not get anything like that with Hughton and his crew this is why we need a change, we are getting caught slowly but surely WBA winning away was a devastating blow
