Predictions for the run in?

Recommended Posts

We start this run in with 29 points. These are our final 8 games. What are your predictions for the outcomes and your predicted final number of points? And importantly, will this be enough? These are my predictions - what are yours?

Sunderland H Draw

Swansea City A Draw

West Brom H Win

Fulham A Lose

Liverpool H Lose

Manchester United A Lose

Chelsea A Lose

Arsenal H Draw

35 points. I dont think this will be enough - Down

I will pass on predicting each game, but predict we will stay up by one point and both Hooper & RVW will notch a crucial goal or two.......

So is that just blind hope then? Nothing wrong with faith I guess, but surely predictions should be based on something. If you think we will hit a certain points target, why not have a crack at rationalising where they might come from? I think predicitng scorelines is irrelevent, and whether we go down or not clearly depends on how the other teams perform, but surely you could give an opinion on the likely outcomes of our games?

We will not get enough points , other clubs are fighting to stay up while we appear to be playing friendlies .

bearing in mind that every one around us bar Fulham and Cardiff have a game in hand on us and the fact that Sunderland have 3 games in hand it really doesn''t look good at all even if we did manage to pull out some results it seems as though the fate of where we shall be playing next season may not be in our hands.

my predictions are:

Sunderland H Draw

Swansea City A Draw

West Brom H Draw

Fulham A Lose

Liverpool H Lose

Manchester United A Lose

Chelsea A Lose

Arsenal H Lose

A whopping 32 points and certain relegation

1 point - a draw at Swansea. Relegated.

Funny though - I never believed we would be promoted until it happened, but can predict our demise from 8 games out.

I expect 4-5 points from our remaining home games. We won''t pick up another point away from home under the current management team, can''t believe there are still fans who genuinely believe otherwise. So 33-34 points and (barring a miracle) relegation for me. This is assuming Hughton and his fellow stooges are in charge for the remaining 8 games of course.

we HAVE to win the sunderland and west brom home games. That will leave 6 games to get 2pts to finish on 37 pts.

which WILL be enough.

Whether we do it under Hughton I''m not so sure

after yesterdays fiasco I can''t really see us getting another win with this clowns tactics.

No idea why Pilkington started and why Redmond and Wes were on the bench,

But...as the board either don''t care or have accepted relegation what can we do?

Well Tony, I''d just bumped my previous predictions as what''s the point of predicting so many games in advance each time one round of games has been played?

But while I am less optimistic given the last two results, WBA managed a win away against Swansea and their form is pretty terrible. And we''ve done OK against them recently.

And I reckon anyone''s got a chance against Man U at the moment and it could well be sh!t or bust by then, which might make us a little more adventurous.

NCFC have been close to the danger level all season and are likely to remain so for the final 8 games.I don''t predict individual games but I expect we will get another 7-9 points. Where those points will come is anybody''s guess.

I think we''ll beat Sunderland and West Brom and those 6 points will see us finish above Fulham, Cardiff, Sunderland and Palace.

Impossible to make any meaningful predictions about the outcome because

A: Depends on other teams results

B: Depends on whether our players want it more than the opposition. Against the Saints it looked as though they didn''t. On the other hand, when we''ve been back to the wall on other occasions this season, the team has come out fighting and got the result. Just can''t predict what Norwich team will get off the bus. They are good enough but do they want it?

Not sure how goal difference will pan out but for what it''s worth final points tally for us & teams around us

WHU 38pts

Us 36pts

Sunderland 35pts

WBA 34pts

CP 34pts

Hull 33pts

Swansea 33pts

Cardiff 33pts

Fulham 30pts

If only it was as simple as! In reality 9 clubs are all shitting themselves, it''ll just come down to the odd slice of luck or poor refereeing, none of the above show any real consistency

I predict Hapless will get sacked after the Sunderland game. Mcnasty will realise the error of his ways and reappoint the Messiah and we will go on a 7 game winning run and finish comfortably above the relegation zone.

Under the Messiah The wolf and hoops will get the chances they need and we will also end the season as a result on plus goals tally.

All it takes to achieve this is for McNasty to make peace with the Messiah and job done. I should be running the club it not rocket science.

Surprised at how few people are willing to have a punt on likely outcomes for our run in. People seem to have very strong views on whether we will stay up or down, but arent willing to speculate on how that might happen. Obviously noone knows how many points we will need, but I would have thought people would be happy to make some predictions as to how many points we would acquire and in which games, especially as plenty on here seem to like a gamble. If you feel the team is doomed, demonstrate why. If you feel the team will win lots of points, predict in which games. Both views are strong, surprisingly few people willing to illustrate either...

West Brom H Win

Fulham A Draw

Liverpool H Lose

Manchester United A Draw

Chelsea A Lose

Arsenal H Win

14 more points and finish in 13th.

Optimistic? Yes

Unlikely? Most would suggest

Do I believe it? As a Norwich supporter I have faith in the team to do it.
