Possible reasons ( or excuses )......

Hostile home crowd.

Travelling fatigue.

Change of routine.

The general belief "it''s more difficult away" plays on the mind.

Different sized pitch / different playing surface.

Etc ???

It''s probably the change of surroundings. Carrow Road is what they''re used to, and nothing changes. If they were playing away at the same ground every week they''d soon get used to it.

It''s all a psychological thing. You can tell this because under Lambert we always gave ourselves a chance away from home. The players at the moment are mentally weak.

Its not as if Norwich are the only team that find playing away from home more difficult, so I''d suggest that the interaction of crowd and team is a very big part of it...

Have you ever played on a proper pitch with the crowd there? It''s quite intimidating, especially for defenders. One mistake and it''s curtains. Much easier to play at home as long as the crowd are with you.

Agree with this. The players are defeated before they cross the white line at the moment. They don''t believe they can get anything on the road. Hence the nerves and mistakes constantly on show.
