2014 - a bad year?

Recommended Posts

The Daily Mail produces some terrible evidence on our substitutions this season. We have had 63 substitutions in 26 games, averaging close to 2.5 per game. We are the only club where substitutions have led to no goals for the player coming on (some werre perhaps defenders, of course, but not many, I think) and even worse no assists, (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2557688/Super-sub-More-like-sub-standard-Hughton-63-changes-year-not-one-impact.html)

Since they subs have contributed neither goals nor assists, it follows that the same is true of the last 11 games since January 1st.

In those eleven games our record is as follows

Played 11, won 1, Drawn 3, Lost 7 means the majority of games were lost. (NB one game was in the cup, but against Premiership Fulham, so I have included it.)

Goals for 4, Goals against 11 - we concede a goal a game and score roughly every four games

Points gained 6 - in 10 league games

One or two posters on this board have suggested that the team is improving. This is difficult to believe in the light of these figures, and is worse than in the previous 16 league games. There has to be a massive improvement in results or else.......

2013 was not much better. 2015 would have been relegation year after 85. 95 and 05. Perhaps still will be to Div 1.
