A terrible moment in our season...

Recommended Posts

Was when Snodgrass stole the ball off RVW to take that eon vs Villa.

If RVW had taken, scored he may well have scored a few more... Plus we may have gone on to get 3 points.

Sometimes what seems fairly insignificant at the time looks much worse when you look back.

if only the referee had applied the letter of the law vs Cardiff at home, when Fer rolled the ball into an empty net, and not simply have "invented" a rule to disallow a goal...

With the margins so thin at this level. luck/good fortune has a large part to play......and based on that we have had precious little of it this season to date, very little.....so I am expecting a few large slices of it over the next few weeks, and now expect us stay up.

It would have been a complete disgrace if we had won the game under the those circumstances and you know it.

Binner.... So what level of ''cheating'' do you agree with ?

When Snoddy ''falls'' over and wins a free kick a and we score from the kick - is that ok ?

No it''s not - you are right ! One is pretending to be fouled to gain an advantage and the other is scoring from a throw in. Sad thing is when the ball was kicked out due to the injury to the opposing player it was obvious once the ball was kicked out the player was timewasting.

It was a goal simple as and the ref bottled it.

Yes the ref screwed up but the acceptable form is to do the throw in and pass it back to the opposition. To violate that is shameful. We''re (morally) better than that. Had the goal stood, we would have been obliged to give them one back or become the pariahs of the league with potentially harsh repercussions over a long period. Like the next times we were in their position, rather than kicking it out, opponent''s would ignore our injury and continued to attack and score.

I know what you are saying but the game has sold it''s soul to the great god ''sky'' - rooney 85 mill in 5 years so I am past caring about ''morally right'' no one else seems to care anymore. Win at all costs eh.

Nobody will score goals in a Chris Hughton team.

Haven''t you seen enough evidence for that by now?

no we wouldn''t... find where it is in the rules?

heres a question for you.... should every player that dives to win a penalty miss it on purpose?

before you answer...imagine its 0 0 on the last day of the season... a win keeps us up...in the 89th minute redmond blatantly dives and wins us a penalty... hooper scores and we win.... how many sh!ts will our fans give as they celebrate????

diving is against the rules and cheating....what Fer did wasn''t....
