Gentleman Jim 0 Posted May 2, 2005 It knew it would happen, my holiday travel timing coincides with City''s last two games. For the first game I''ve calculated that we shall be on a coach somewhere between France and Spain, probably in the Pyrenees. The second game we will probably be on the ferry in the middle of the English Channel. I will be taking a pretty good multi-band world radio. Has any any experience or idea if it is possible to pick up any of our English sports programs or reports in those locations please ? I once picked up Radio Norfolk in the middle of Barnet but I feel this situation would be out of reach of even uncle Roy. Don''t ask why I picked these dates, sufficient to say they were unavoidable
BIC 0 Posted May 3, 2005 BBC World Service will have sports updates at least. Not sure what the bandlength will be in Europe, but you can get it off their website. I can pick it up on the other side of the world so you should be ok in France. Though mountains tend to play havoc with short wave radio...Wireless internet would be better though - listen to Waller in all his (ahem) glory on Canaries World.
