Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 28

Recommended Posts

Greetings PUPs and welcome to week 28 of the Rays Funds season. For the

third time since Christmas we find ourselves on a hat-trick in the final six.

So who better to be in charge and making the final selections than Leeds

Canary. Kev is a great friend to Rays Funds and his support is invaluable to

me. He’s also become a great personal friend, one of the many that Rays Funds

has made possible by bringing together City fans from the world over. Leeds is

having a fantastic personal season with 15/18 correct selections. He’s also had

two previous wins when making the final selections so another win this weekend would

complete two hat-tricks!

You PUPs were amazing again last week and a repeat performance must

surely give Kev and excellent chance this weekend. Don’t forget for your

selection to be considered it must be played on Sat/Sun/Mon and be listed on

Bet365 or William Hill websites.

The rota for March has now been confirmed and what a strong line up we

look to have! : -

01/03/14 Diesel Doris

08/03/14 Newcastle Uni Canary

15/03/14 Norfolkchance 1

22/03/14 GMF

This week Gravycanaries is in charge of the Norwich match bet and I’m

sure he’d appreciate all your suggestions for the match bet against Spurs. Good

luck buddy our fiver is in your hands. Don’t forget the bet can be a single £5

or divided into up to five individual £1 bets.

Now Ill hand the thread over to Leeds

Canary. Remember theres no pressure

because we are all going to do our best to help you get x3 by your name in the Rays

Funds Hall of Fame. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money

for the Community Sports Foundation

Good luck all you PUPs... Take it away Kev ... the thread is

yours.......[:)]..........

Tough week. Rangers look the stand out, but I imagine Salzburg to beat Admira will go a bit more under the radar (Although just noticed YC beat me to it!)Salzburg are comfortably top, 9/2/0 at home having scored an average of 4 goals a game.Admira are 1/3/7 away and just outside the relegation area.Salzburg are in red hot form, having won their last six home games by a combined score of 29-1.However bear in mind that Admira won the reverse fixture 3-1 earlier in the season, and Salzburg are away at Ajax on Thursday in Europe. They are miles clear in the league so rotation/complacency may be a factor. Either way, the odds of 1/7 with bet 365 look long.Best of luck all.

Yes, it''s difficult to find many decent bets this week, but Standard Liege vs Gent is 4/9 for the home win, Standard are top with 63 points and +42 goal difference, Gent are 7th but only have 35 points and -2 goal difference. So home win for Standard.

Good luck Leeds Canary and all other PUPs.

Thanks for the intro Eddie! Its an honour, as ever, to make these picks - each and every one will be given careful consideration before I select the final six around 10pm on Friday night. And how strange that fate would end up with me sharing the thread with gravycanaries - I''m sure Mr Tilson will be beside himself when he appears later! And for gravycanaries, I''ll go for a HT Draw FT SpursGood luck all - I can''t do this without you!Leedscanary

My call is for Monaco to win at home to Stade de Reims in Ligue 1.

If you''re looking for a more speculative bet, you should be able to get odds against on Bilbao beating rock-bottom Betis in the Primera Liga. Betis have a Europa League game tonight while Bilbao are free, and Bilbao will be hurting after a home defeat to Espanyol last time out and itching to consolidate their Champions League place.

Rangers to beat Stenhousemuir please. For the Norwich bet City to win 2-1.

Am I the only one to spot the irony of Kev and Gravy sharing the PUPS bet? :)

Good luck both!

LOL.. No!! I wish I could claim credit for setting it up but it just worked out that way. Shame Tilly''s unwell, let''s hope he recovers in time to make something out of this coincidence...

No other distractions for Liverpool now. While others are playing 2 games a week they can concentrate on getting a top four place. To do so they will need to win games such as Sunday''s fixture at home to Swansea. The Swans themselves do have European distractions and play tonight. Liverpool at home are W11 D1 L1 F38 A9 while Swansea away are W3 D3 L7 F9 A16.

Liverpool           v           Swansea           Home Win

For the Norwich match bet I''m going for Seb Bassong to score anytime which is 14/1 on Bet365. I''m confident Seb will score at some point this season and I bet would love to score against his old club.

Good luck Leeds and Gravy [Y][:D]

At a better than even money chance QPR need to start winning games Or Harry might not get his big spenders out of the Championship at the first time of asking. They face a Charlton team who haven''t won since Boxing day and are suffering turmoil behind the scenes where the manager doesn''t seem to be in charge.

Charlton V QPR Away win.

As for the city bet, We put in our best performance of the season against Spurs last season and only a wonder goal by Bale prevented us from winning. GB has moved on an Spurs have had a heavy European trip so at 3/1 I''ll go for a Norwich Home win.

Good luck to Gravy, Kev and all the other PUPs

The Czech Republic league starts up again this weekend after a winter break and league leaders Sparta Prague host 12th place (out of 16) Zbrojovka Brno. Bit of a risk as all form goes out the window a little since they haven''t played since beginning of December, but the league leaders are unbeaten in their 16 games played and the away side have lost 9 out of 16 and only find themselves outside the bottom two relegation spots on GD. Talking of goals Sparta Prague have managed to score a very impressive 41 goals in 16, conceding an almost equally impressive11.
As for the Norwich bet, total corners over 14 is 10/3. We tend to get a few corners a game for Snoddy to try and beat the first man and avoid the keeper, and Spurs have plenty of attacking power so I imagine they''ll be corners a plenty. Its actually a really good market to bet on.
And to recap:
Sparta Prague vs Zbrojovka Brno- Home win.
Good luck :)
