Hugh Lupton, in his recent book, tells the supposedly true story of a well to do young woman raped by her Father, forced to leave her baby on the church steps, and who, when she inherits her Father''s estate, advertises for a Steward to manage for her. A young man applies and she is instantly drawn to him and they become lovers and then marry. On their wedding night she discovers that he is her son - who is also her brother.
