Eadies Left, Hucks Right, Iwans Heed, Holts Laugh! 0 Posted February 28, 2014 All this getting on RVW''s back about lack of goals, could be worse Tottenham paid £26m for Soldado and he only has 5 goals in league, 4 from penalties!!!!
Yellow Wal 314 Posted February 28, 2014 At Spurs at the beginning of the season AVB played a very narrow attack with inverted wingers and as such a £26M striker found it difficult to shine. He then lost confidence and his return of 5 goals (4 from penalties) is poor.At Norwich CH has played a narrow attack with inverted wingers and as such an £8M striker has found it difficult to shine (as has a £6M striker) and the return has been disappointing. The system is a very difficult one for strikers.Whereas it seems to be working at Norwich it cost the Spurs manager his job. Move Klose 303 Posted February 28, 2014 Just like RVW Soldado will come good. Wont be the 1st players to struggle to adapt to English football in their 1st season.
Chip20 68 Posted February 28, 2014 That''s the thing; people are far too quick to judge. Everybody wants instant gratification and aren''t patient enough to wait for it. RVW and Soldado may come good or they may not, but it''s unfair to write them off in their first season. Not every striker is consistently hot and those that are tend cost bajillionns. Muddy funster 0 Posted February 28, 2014 They forget that it took three quarters of a season for iwan to settle in properly. Rvw will be a big signing....just give him the time AND take the pressure off him.

It''s a hell of an investment, playing an unproductive striker for a whole season. Not knocking RVW though, I''m no Danny Mills. Thought he played really well in the last game. Chip20 68 Posted February 28, 2014 I know what you mean, but he''s only likely to get productive if given the opportunities and it''s not as though the alternatives have exactly been prolific, bar a short purple patch for Hooper. With just under a third of the season remaining, there''s still time and opportunity for Ricky too enjoy one too.
