littleyellowbirdie 2,547 Posted January 17, 2014 On the off chance that there''s anyone else who''s sick to death of talking about the manager all the time (I know, it''s about as likely as a thread on politics not ending up being Godwined), what sort of formations and approach would give the players at our disposal the optimum offensive/defensive balance? djc 0 Posted January 18, 2014 the formations and approach should surely be whatever the coaching team and Hughton set out their team to play.Appreciate my reply is a spectacular fail to your Hughton free discussion zone.... but no-one else had replied to you. Molly Windley 76 Posted January 18, 2014 IMO Our formation I too static and playing two wide men is not working, it hasn''t worked for a top side since the 1970`s. How about a 4-1-2-3 formation with a holding midfielder and a fluid front 3? I think Redmond is wasted on the wing, he has pace, quick feet and can pick a pass, let him get more involved in the oppo half. I don''t go along with all the "he`s inexperienced" chat, he has been playing football through the ranks since an early age, just let him play.
