98 year old Maurice and Lil Kemp
Supporters hall of fame is a great idea
What about a streamers hall of fame too?  Think of all the trials and tribulations these poor souls have too endure, wading through loads of ads before they get a stream, picture freezing every time there''s some goalmouth action, and often having to rely on foreign commentary to confuse matters even more and all this whilst updating fellow fans on the PinkUn match thread.I''m always amazed at how they can do such detailed match reports afterwards, right down to individual players performances, passes, tackles, shots etc.Yep, for services to football, a streamers hall of fame is what we need, bless ''em....

I first started following city back in the 70''s and always traveled away on Lily Kemps bus and please take it from me that Lady is a 100% diamond.

When I 1st started following city times were hard and I sometimes struggled to raise the money for my ticket or petrol money for the bus and believe me I was not the only one but Lil and Pat were favorites of all the city players and they always would leave any spare players comps tickets for lil to hand out to ticketless fans and we allways managed to get in one way or another.

When the bus was not coming Wisbech way I would thumb a lift to Norwich and often spend the night on Lils sofa for either early starts or times when we would get back too late to thumb it home after a midweek match.

In those days you would be very lucky if we took 200-300 fans away from home and police escorts were non existant but everybody looked out for each other and Lil often had to step in to keep the peace.

If anybody is fortunate enough to meet Lil at a match take time out to have a chat with her as Im sure she will tell you some stories that you will find hard to believe.

My earliest memories of Carrow Road are standing three quarters of the way towards the back of the Barclay in the late 60s next to Lil and Pat and Lil''s family.  Lil still sits in the Lower Barclay Block B (a bit nearer the front nowadays).  Her and Pat are the sort of people who should have statues erected outside grounds.  Lil would take no nonsense from anyone and God forbid if you made any comments about her family.  I have no idea how old Lil is but I hope I''m still coming to games at the age she is with a similar amount of passion.  I well remember bumping into Lil on a wet night at Burnley in the mid-70s when they dumped us out of the League Cup.  Her and a handful of City fans had made the long journey and she was as encouraging as ever (whilst I had only made the short hop from Salford to Burnley).  I always try and have a word with her when I can and she should be written into the history of the Club with as much reverence as the likes of Geoff Watling.

With regards to the tall dark haired gent and his girlfriend referred to in someone else''s post, I think you are referring to my old school mate James Woodrow and his partner Jasmine who have been almost ever present at games since the mid-60s.
Also what about Angus George? I don''t know him, but know he attended a serious amount of consecutive games years ago, and I don''t know if that record has continued/ Anyone know?
I''ve stood next to this guy a couple of times at away games. Constantly moaned, never said a positive word, never sang a song. Hall of Fame supporter?!(all pre-Hughton before someone mentions it)

Warren our Simon has moved on and now seeks out Kathy at away games like a lost little puppy. I think he gave up with Ian Botham as he doesn''t dress as a Policeman anymore. [:P]

I wonder how many times, either Maurice or Lil have shouted

" *********** (insert Managers name) OUT"! over the years?

Anyone like to hazard a guess, or even ask them?
