Would things be different if RVW had taken that spot kick?

p.s reason why id rather snodgrass left this club, has been rubbish all season, not fast enough, falls over and id take Redmond, Pilkington, Jonas or a murphy lad ahead of him

Maybe. It seems ridiculous to suggest such a tiny thing could make such a big difference, but I really think it might have helped. Hooper certainly benefited from his ''smashed down the middle'' penalty when he first came in. It helped start off his goalscoring run which has helped him settle down.

So many things could have been different from individual events in football, some as small as Snodgrass taking the penalty when RVW was supposed to. Holt''s miss vs Southampton last season.
My Grandad just yesterday said he is still certain if Hartson has scored a chance he had on his debut he would have managed a bit better.
What if Hucks never left? If Lita had stayed permanently, if Gunn had lost his temp game against Barnsley or Burnley? If we''d only lost 1-0 to Colchester at home? What if.....

Well we might be three points better off!
Would slotting the penalty away have transformed RvW into a marauding, free scoring striker? Well maybe RvW might have had a game or two where his confidence was a bit higher. But the basic answer is No he would have reverted by now to what we saw yesterday.

There seem to be as many negatives about Snodgrass as there are positives.

Five million quid and more is a positive in my book.
