Tetteys Jig 830 Posted January 29, 2014 Is this it? Hughton or bust? Even Fulham can just go a nd shell out £11m on a new striker today. Are we ever going to have a realistic shout of competing at this level whilst playing an open game?I have to say I much preferred the lower league years but only when we were challenging for promotion. Money has ruined actually going to games. The lower prem teams seem to be all scared off playing open and expansive games and simply trying to nick a 1-0 win or a 0-0 draw.Is it time for 4 points for a win with a bonus point if you get over 3 goals? Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted January 29, 2014 I agree to a certain extent. There are now 3 elements to the EPL the top 6, the next 4 and the bottom 10. If you try to play an open game against the top 10 we will probably get battered and need to keep it tight and on the right day with a fair wind may nick a result. The bottom 10 has very little to pick between them and we should always attack home and away and we would get more points that way and be entertaining
Joanna Grey 0 Posted January 29, 2014 The question is how much does your squad have to be worth to break through that glass ceiling?
