Money and targets? Or not?

So with a very quiet window for us, what do you think was the truth behind the scenes. Many fans felt we would have around 8m earmarked for any potential January targets. So the question is this. Were substantial funds there, and if so, did we decide not to use them (if so a risky strategy) or were we unable to acquire our targets? Indeed, did we have any serious targets? We didnt seem to be pursuing anyone in they way we did with Quagliarella in the summer. Or were there simply no funds available? What do you think?

I think due to inflated Jan prices loan targets were maybe a higher priority (even more so if CH is on the edge).

I think the only loan player I wished we had caught was. Holtby, who ended up at Fulham.

I am sure if the right player at the right price had come up we would of gone for it.
