ReadingCanary 0 Posted January 30, 2014 "Bumped into Wes Hoolahan. His off-mic comments about Norwich City involved two swear words" from the Sky Journalist on TwitterInteresting...
ncfcstar 321 Posted January 30, 2014 Don''t feel sorry for him at all to be honest, he''s brought this on himself after starting in the Man U and Palace games.

splutcho 194 Posted January 30, 2014 He can f*ck off now as far as I''m concerned. Actually, better yet, train him with the youth team and he can rot in the reserves.
ReadingCanary 0 Posted January 30, 2014 Really hope Wes hasn''t just overshadowed the six brilliant years we have had with him through a stupid comment.

We''ve obstructed the move to Villa, he''s thrown his toys out the pram and now he realises he''s going to be playing in the development squad for the rest of the season. Thirsty Lizard 3,203 Posted January 30, 2014 Sky journalist???????????????? ---- ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, haSeriously - would you believe a Tweet from a sky journalist?
BigFish 2,217 Posted January 30, 2014 Put yourself in his shoes. 17 months left on his contract and Villa will probably give him 2 and half years, a signing on fee and a pay rise. But it is only on offer this window. They won''t want him in the Summer and neither will we.Then he will be in the last year of a contract looking at the Champs at best.Wouldn''t you swear......it is hard in the professional ranks

Jim Smith 2,490 Posted January 30, 2014 I can see both sides to this. i can certainly understand him being hugely p***ed off, particularly as we get closer to the deadline and it becomes more and more apparent to him that we are not going to cave in and he''s stuck with us, probably not playing, for the rest of the season rather than signing a new contract on better money with Villa. That said you obviously can;t have players mouthing off to journalists in the manner that he apparently did. What i can''t quite pick up is whether it was a snide remark to one journo which he thought was off the record or whether it was a deliberate public utterance. Nicko 0 Posted January 30, 2014 Don''t waste your time convincing pathetic old codgers on here of the authenticity of a quote . People on here will simply refuse point blank to believe you if the story is negative. Best to just say what you have to say and then leave. Twitter isn''t unreliable if you know where to look. If its a rumour, then people will specify its a rumour. Use your own judgement on whether to believe it or not, don''t berate the people that pass on the information. Juggy 0 Posted January 30, 2014 Any two swear words used by Hoolahan would likely have had McNally and Hughton in mind. The idea that he hates the club is laughable. McNally and Hughton are employees of the club, they are not the club. The fans are the club.People should bare that in mind before directing any hatred towards Hoolahan. Remember what he has done for us in the past and the loyalty that he showed in 2009 no matter what happens now.
Juggy 0 Posted January 30, 2014 "He can f*ck off now as far as I''m concerned. Actually, better yet, train him with the youth team and he can rot in the reserves"You can f*ck off and play with yourself. Hoolahan will rightfully go down as a club legend and anybody with a single brain cell can see why he wants to move on.
S10 Canary 0 Posted January 30, 2014 Copied from Paddy''s twitter: CH had to address an incident this morning where WH reportedly made it clear to waiting reporters he is done with this club. Only he used more colourful, industrial language. CH intends to investigate further. But the transfer position regarding wessi unchanged
Juggy 0 Posted January 30, 2014 We''ve played 23 league games this season and Hoolahan has started just 5 of them. He is clearly surplus to requirements and is being denied a move due to politics / a clash of egos. His anger is understandable.
Feedthewolf 5,632 Posted January 30, 2014 Does the Championship loan window reopen after the deadline, like it does in September? If so I can see a top-end Championship club coming in for him to cement a promotion push. Much as he''s a legend, in his current frame of mind he''s going to be dressing room poison and best shifted out sharpish. Such a shame, I''d have loved him to play a role for us for the remainder of the season.

Indy 3,425 Posted January 30, 2014 To be honest this situation does nothing but harm to the club, best all round to let him go! He''s obviously not in any frame of mind to play for Hughton, Hugton isn''t going to play him, we could cash in even if it was 1 million and get him off the wages. A Player with friends in the team will be destructive, even if he trains with the youth side, outside the club he will have full contact with other players and be negative, other players too will see this situation and think to themselves if he''s been harshly treated. I''m no lover of keeping players once they don''t want to be a t a club. Thanks for your part in helping the club get into the premiership, keeping us here and good luck in your future. That''s the way it should be.
Paul 0 Posted January 30, 2014 no not politics, the fact that the clubs valuation hasn''t been met is the main reason.£750k is a derisory offer. He can throw his toys out of the pram all he likes but until a sensible offer is received then he goes no where. If he criticizes the club or manager etc then he should be fined accordingly, they are his employers. Why should we sell for anything less than the £2m quoted that we want for him?? Juggy 0 Posted January 30, 2014 Maybe you are the stupid one. I''d quite like a manager who would see that Hoolahan is our best player, Hoolahan probably wants a manager like that too.

I would like a manager who can see Wes'' quality, but equally, why should we bow to Wes'' demands? Where is the benefit to us in selling Wes to a rival? And selling him on the cheap? And selling him so close to the end of the window, when we have virtually zero chance of getting cover in? Pre-throwing his toys out of the pram Wes was a regular member of the match day squad. If we do bow to Wes'' demands, what message will this send to the other players?

Juggy 0 Posted January 30, 2014 He apparently said the words "f*cking sh*t".He is either describing his situation as "f*cking sh*t", and as he isn''t being played that is factually correct.Or he has described our team as "f*cking sh*t", which is also factually correct.
