League table at this stage last year

Looking for a crumb of comfort, I had a look at the Premier League table at the same stage last year - link here.After 24 games last year we had three more points (27), having drawn three games more, scored six goals more, but also conceded three more.So the margins are fine.  Had we beaten Cardiff yesterday we would again be on 27 points. But we didn''t, of course, and that is the worry.   Last year we got 17 points from our final 14 games.  Under Lambert, incidentally, we got 15 points.  In neither of those spells did we play consistently well and yet we did enough to survive.So my crumb of comfort is that the stats tell me we can stay up.  It''s just that watching Norwich lately suggests something different.

Perhaps what IS interesting to note is that the 3 clubs that did go down were on 20 points, when Norwich were on 27 points.As it is, Norwich have to match the points tally from now of 3 of the 5 clubs below them.
