What is there to be afraid of?

Recommended Posts

I''ve seen several posters on different threads say they are afraid of what will happen against Man City.  What is there to be afraid of?   Nothing. That''s what.  Nothing.  If we get badly beaten nothing will happen.   All it means is we get no points and our goal difference is worse.  So what is there to be afraid of? The nasty rich foreign owners coming to lord it over poor little Norwich? No.There is nothing to be afraid of.

I''m afraid of big spiders, sharks, crocodiles, snakes...... and I really dislike the sound of someone squeezing polystyrene - not afraid, i just don''t like it so i guess that doesn''t count [:P]

How about the players already fragile confidence taking another battering?
Personally don''t think we need to worry about the players.  They are professionals and anyway have proved they can bounce back after setbacks.

Well the fact we could be in bottom 3 come the end of the game. And are GD taking another battering. Would extend our run to 1 win in 10. Isnt that what WBA sacked Clarke for, 1 win in 10

I''m afraid that the board won''t sack Hughton. Despite yet another loss, and a heavy one at that.

But I''m more afraid that he''ll still be in charge for the West Ham game. And more after that.

Im afraid of all the deluded idiots who stick up for Hughton, im afraid for their sanity. Yer keep it up Chris, championship here we come. Just think of the overpaid ex prem rejects we could sign then, Elmander, Gutierrez, Yobo all permanent, Cant wait.

if you are not afraid don''t you get complacent ?

I would also say our player look like they are afraid of attacking teams !

and to finish up if they are not afraid of the form they are showing they bl00dy well should be !!!!!!!!

What 1 win in 10 isnt good form : )

Managers have been sacked for alot less.

I predict 3 defeats now, Man C, W.Ham & Spurs.

Sadly will be too late to sack him, shoulda happened weeks ago.

Good try LDC But it will not work.

To many people in the world go through life with fear. It saps away energy and makes you a very glum chap indeed.

We are in a fight. It is exciting. It is not to be feared as life would be so boring if everything was easy. Just staying in the PL is one hell of an achievement but to many think we are on par with teams like Everton. We are where we are because we are a bottom six club with bottom six players and, at the moment, a lot of bottom six fans who are making a very poor atmosphere at Carrow Road.

I wish people would get a grip on realality.

The only thing I am afraid of is coming on this forum and seeing that YOU have posted again - in fact it''s absolutely terrifying!

LDC, surely you fear us drifting into the drop zone? I know over the decades we''ll have our ups and downs, but our fate this season could be pivotal for the next few years. Look at the likes of Leeds and Forest and even Sheffield Utd. They haven''t returned.

Exactly the way to be!!! no fear.. you go out against Man City and you give it your absolute best!

they are human, and humans make mistakes.. we''ve got nothing to fear and I think we should go out all guns blazing on saturday.

doesnt matter who you are and who you play against, regardless of ability you get out and get in their faces!

No one who ever won ever did by not trying.
Two completely different things, Jas.I don''t think anyone is suggesting that our team is not going to go out and try. I''m sure they will, as, first and foremost they are professional sportsmen.But Lakey''s question was that is there anything to be afraid of. A somewhat bizarre one to my mind when we are coming up against some of the best players in Europe who are employed by the world''s richest club.For heaven''s sake, get a grip.

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

Or being lied about, don''t deal in lies,

Or being hated, don''t give way to hating,

And yet don''t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you''ve spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,

And stoop and build ''em up with wornout tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: ''Hold on!''

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds'' worth of distance run -

Yours is the Earth and everything that''s in it,

And - which is more - you''ll be a Man my son!

Each game & boardroom decision is as important as the last. This will never change no matter what league we play in, or where in that league we sit.
Why would you be afraid of an event or outcome of an event that you have no control over?
Eh. ????Surely that is precisely the reason why so many people DO fear certain events.People are afraid of going to the dentist because they are not in control of the drill and there might be pain.People are afraid of having an operation for the same reason.People are afraid of flying because they are not in control of the aircraft.You may think it''s irrational , but that does not make the fear any less real.

Love it Warren !!  Mind you I think your Mum would engender more confidence for me than some of the alleged professional pilots I''ve travelled with on trips round the Far East.
