Yobocop 1,097 Posted December 15, 2013 Ruddy; Whittaker, Turner, Bassong (c), Olsson; Redmond, Howson, Johnson, Fer, Elmander, HooperUnchanged from last week?
Yobocop 1,097 Posted December 15, 2013 Bench: Nash (GK), Martin, Hoolahan, Garrido, Becchio, R Bennett, Josh Murphy. So no RVW, must not be ready
AJ 1,218 Posted December 15, 2013 No need to change a winning side - unlucky for RVW, but another chance for Elmander to prove he''s worth keeping in up top with Hooper.
Yobocop 1,097 Posted December 15, 2013 can''t disagree with any of that AJElmander a bit of an unsung hero for us this season so far I feel....
priceyrice 123 Posted December 15, 2013 Very concerned about the left side of the pitch. Fer played there last week and left Ollson on his own against two men nearly every attack. If Swansea exploit this we will be in big trouble. Would have preferred to see Garrido at left back and Ollson on the wing.Anyway, nice to see him keep with two up top, would like to see a bit more from Elmander this week though, not done enough to justify his starting spot at the moment, IMO. Would like to see Wes get some more game time.
Snakepit Ric 0 Posted December 15, 2013 Would rather Murphy on the wing. Fer in middle with Johnson dropped. But I''m not the gaffer. Come on boys otbc !!
It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted December 15, 2013 I agree the left side is a concern but otherwise you can''t complain about sticking with a winning side

Fer did well in his offensive contributions vs WBA, but his defending was awful, and poor Olsson had a lot to do on his side. the WBA rightback, Billy Jones, looked like he was a member of Brazil´s world cup squad, and Fer was nowhere to be seen. Low frequency in Fer´s defensive footwork, and did not look like he thought it was his job to do a defensive job too.I agree, Garrido at LB and Olsson on the left wing would be good.Typical Hughton to cling onto something that worked result wise last time around, but every competent football fan could see we were dead lucky against WBA. lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted December 15, 2013 BJ again. Wtf. Should be Hoolahan at home. This side didnt really work at WBA and we got a bit lucky. Not sure we''ll get away with it again.
BroadstairsR 2,159 Posted December 15, 2013 Very disappointed by RVW''s continued absence and fancied seeing him given some game-time with Hooper. This toe injury has turned into quite a serious thing and it''s a pity we seem to have been a bit starved of the details. Is there any indication as to exactly why he''s not ready as planned? the bristol nest 0 Posted December 15, 2013 The RVW stuff is a shame but do you remember when we were pushing Rusty and the Ginger Pele up front? At least we have two forwards on the pitch and a spare on the bench.
Yobocop 1,097 Posted December 15, 2013 If Hughton was confident enough to say he would be ''in contention'' for Swansea then I would imagine it is very much a case of that he isn''t quite ready for today but probably will be involved next week

Nathan Dyer will have the freedom of Norwich down our lefthand side, and cause endless problems.Hoolahan need to play vs a ball playing team like Swans, agreed. Again, clueless Hughton.Admittedly, this post is a hidden jinx to allow the poor Johnson to score :)
