Know that Roy had a bit of a thing about beards when he was there[/quote]He said he''d shave it off when Ipswich Town were debt-free.

Beards are quite common amongst Ipswich supporters. [:D]

Apparently Stephen Hunt (rhyming slang) is complaining on Twitter that his neighbour has blocked him from "borrowing" the neighbour''s internet connection.  Still, shouldn''t judge and all that. Maybe he has to pay all his wages to the Michael Chopra recovery fund.

I thought it was down to lack of running water and the general rule that they are not allowed sharpend blades in Ipswich, just incase they hurt themselves. Can see the headline now :"50000 men  and 3000 women die in Ipwich when they accidently slit thier own throats shaving."

Worked for me.

I didn''t actually know the origin of the term, although I use it.

A bit like us being called ''budgies'' really, endearing.

I''m not too keen on some of the stronger names tbh.
