Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 19

Recommended Posts

Greetings PUPs and welcome to week 19 of the Rays Funds season. This

week we have one of our longest serving team members in the hot seat. Hughesy

is in charge and making the final selections. Hughesy’s been with us

practically from the start and has been really consistent picking at around 75%

over the whole time. As well as being one of our top PUPs Hughesy is also one

of those hardy souls who travels away all over the country to support our beloved

team. In the PL or league one you will find hughesy following the Canaries

wherever they fly! I’d love for Hughesy to get her name on Ray’s signature and

we can all help her achieve this by a repeat of last week’s great effort where

82% of PUP’s selections won. We must be due some good fortune to end our

unlucky run of 8 consecutive 5/6s with a full house this weekend. Don’t forget

for your selection to be considered it must be played on Sat/Sun/Mon and be

listed on Bet365 or William Hill websites.

This week Warren Hill is in charge of the Norwich match bet. Sunderland

away is not the most attractive fixture of the season but hopefully we will

come away with a good result and Warren can find some good angles to give us

PUPs some festive cheer. I’m sure he’d appreciate your suggestions for ways he

can do that. Good luck Warren, our fiver is in your hands. Don’t forget the bet

can be a single £5 or divided into up to five individual £1 bets.

I would like to take this opportunity of wishing all you PUPs a very

Merry Christmas and thank you for being such a brilliant team again this year.

People often refer to the spirit of Christmas and how people all get along so

well this time of year. It makes me proud to think that same spirit, instilled

by our much loved founder Arrdee, lives on these threads throughout the year.

Have a great time PUPs!

The next thread will be for the fixtures on the weekend of 28th

Dec when Gregt will be making the final selections and Lapp will be in charge

of the match bet for the game against Man Utd. I’ll put the thread up at the

normal time but if any of you find it easier you are welcome to leave your

picks and suggestions on this week’s thread and I’ll transfer them for you next

week.

Now Ill hand the thread over to Hughesy.

Remember theres no pressure because we are

all going to do our best to help you get your name in the Rays Funds Hall of Fame.

We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community

Sports Foundation

Good luck all you PUPs... Take it away Sam ... the thread is

yours....... [:)]...

As always I leave you with

Rays signature which now reads :-

Carve their names with

pride.Yankee,4,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,3,

Evening all. With the winter break across Europe, there is very little out there. Sorry to go for an obvious one but the only game I am happy with is Celtic to beat Hearts.Celtic are top and running away with the league. Hearts are rock bottom and doomed to relegation. Celtic have won the last 6 meetings including an absolute thrashing in the cup recently.Best of luck all.

Hi all. Thanks for the intro Nutty, quite nervous now.

Really looking forward to this though, fingers crossed we can finally break the 5 out of 6 hoodoo.

Keep the selections coming, every one will naturally be considered, and hopefully we can do it.

And of course, Happy Christmas to you all.

To Scotland for me this week and a home win for free scoring Dundee United who have scored more times at home than any team in the SPL. Ross county are without an away win and have only scored 5 and conceded 15 away from home.

Dundee United v Ross county home win

How about a 1-1 draw at the stadium of light.

Good luck and merry Christmas everyone

Difficult week I think. Trying to look for a different selection has proved difficult already. But I''m going to brave the Championship and tip Derby who are on a winning run of 6 to beat Doncaster who have only scored once in their last 5 aways.

Derby            v             Doncaster          Home Win

And for the Norwich bet a small stake tilt at Gary hooper to score first with Norwich winning 1-0 which is 45/1 on Bet365.

For the Norwich bet this week I was going to suggest RVW for last goalscorer, but Bet365 have no odds... How about, at 40/1, HT Sunderland, FT Norwich...

And for my main selection this week staying in England, where Alfreton (6th) host Dartford (23rd). Dartford have lost the second highest amount of games, and are on an 8 game losing streak. And Alfreton won their last game, with their previous 4 wins coming in blocks of 2. So hopefully they continue that pattern.

Alfreton vs Dartford- Home win!!

Good luck :)

Spain this week.

Atletico Bilbao to beat Vallecano at home.

Bilbao''s home form is great - beat Barca at home last time out. Vallecano are pants away...

Seems obvious for a home win....famous last words!!

Phew Nutty, when this thread hadn''t popped up by Wednesday afternoon I thought you''d done an Arthur Fowler and run off with the money just before Christmas!

I don''t think I''ve missed with a 4/9 shot yet so I''m going for the Belgian Jupiler League, Zulte-Waregem to beat Oostende at home, it''s 4th against 10th which doesn''t look a certainty but Zulte have a GD of +15 and Oostende is -9 so I''m hopeful.

Best of luck to all PUPs and extra Christmas luck to Hughesy!

Derby vs Doncaster HOME WIN for me please

For the Norwich bet, a quid on Fer or Hooper to score any time would be pretty wise right now!

Maccabi Tel Aviv to win at home against Hapoel Akko please NN

Maccabi won the corresponding away fixture by two goals to nil earlier in the season so

should hopefully win this one as well. BET365 currently have the home win at 1/4 and

the away win at 9/1 with the draw at 13/5.

Good luck Hughesy and all PUPs
